A reply to the owner of my first review below.
Lie and upon lie, clearly you have no shame whatsoever, this pathetic place that you call a ‘hotel’ shouldn’t even be classed as a 1 star hence why I’m not surprised that all your recent review are negative! I came to your reception on the first morning and they said they don’t offer breakfast, they gave me a plate with tiny portions that wouldn’t have even been enough for a child and even that the tried to con me $10 for it! Your blankets were also are made out of towel-like material also and were so rough and uncomfortable. It interesting to see that you haven’t addressed all my points as you know you can’t refute them for instance about the bathrooms having no locks, faulty lifts, lights and WiFi, no facilities like the spa and steam room as advertised, lack of support and competence from your staff. I could go into much more further detail about many other faults but I think I’ll just leave it there.
Secondly as mentioned if you read my reply correctly, none of your hotel staff or receptionists speak English so whenever I did interact with them, I had to do so by standing at the reception desk for often 15-20mins at a time and communicate via Google translate and in most cases they still wouldn’t understand! Whenever I came down from my hotel room the works were just lazing, around most of the time outside smoking cigarettes which also resulted in me having to tolerate their bad small and breath which was also unpleasant!
You should have read my review and not criticised it or debated it, rather you should have offered me some compensation or used it as a learning curve on how to improve! As Bill Gates famously said in a quote “Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning,” just goes to show you lack basic business knowledge and then boast your hotel is good 😒, sad and pathetic on your end!
Again to anyone even thinking about staying in this pathetic place I wouldn’t even class as a hotel, do yourselves a favour and stay far...
Read moreBEST LOCATION. 2 mins walking away from Ayub Sultan Masjid. Everything is on the doorstep - supermarkets, restaurants, mobile network providers (e.g. Turk Cell), Banks, Hairdressers, Clothes Stores - and everything else you need or want! The Hotel staff are 100% honest, kind, caring and go above and beyond to help. Their airport transfer was high quality and impeccable in every way, they provided a PCR Test for us (results came in a few hours), their laundry service is fast and affordable, they printed all our travel documents for us after we emailed it to them, they allowed me to use their freezer for a cooling bag pack, and they even provided luggage scales to weigh our suitcases before we left. Their breakfast was simple, healthy and refreshing. Our family attic room easily fitted 2 single beds, 1 king size bed, 1 large sofa, 2 sofa armchairs, 1 breakfast table with 2 chairs, 1 fridge/cooler, 2 beside drawers, 1 tea table with kettle, a television and a double wardrobe! The room was massive with a door that opened to a balcony outside with a table and two chairs. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was massive and clean, the shower was powerful with a rain shower included. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other hotels in Istanbul. This is a lovely hotel with a family feeling, run by professional and kind staff, in the best and most authentic area in Istanbul. We are so grateful and have already recommended it to friends who have loved their stay. Thank you again for your kind...
Read moreI recently stayed at The Elegant Hotel in the Eyup Sultan area, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel’s location is excellent—situated adjacent to a lively high street with plenty of shops selling local items at reasonable prices. It’s also just a 5-minute walk to the Shrine of Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari (RA), making it a great choice for visitors looking to explore religious and cultural sites. Transportation was convenient, with taxis available on meter or via Uber.
I stayed in a Double Deluxe Room, which was spacious, well-equipped, and had a nice balcony. The room was offered at a reasonable rate, providing good value for money. The breakfast was served on a person-to-person basis (not buffet), but the quality was good and satisfying.
However, there were a few minor drawbacks: The hotel lift was out of order during my stay, and the staff mentioned it would take about 3 weeks to repair. This could be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues. The balcony curtain was shorter than needed, though it didn’t affect me much.
Despite these small issues, I would recommend The Elegant Hotel for its prime location, comfortable rooms, and good service. It’s a solid choice for travelers looking for affordability and convenience...
