We booked Mia Casa hotel 28th May - 4th June. We booked a standard double room. The photos on the website of the room are for the superior room, not the other rooms so please be aware!! When we arrived we checked in and got our keys. I must say our welcome to the hotel was very poor. Did not feel welcome at all. Our room was in a separate building to where the reception was and we was given no instructions or guidance of where our room was or even how to get in that building. We finally found it on the 4th floor (top floor) after looking on 2 separate floors. Once we entered our room, our balcony door was wide open which will become apparent shortly. The smell of drains was so bad in the room, I couldn’t even stay in here for longer than a couple of minutes, they clearly were aware of this, hence them leaving the balcony door open to air the room out, which did not work.| The balcony door was made for the borrowers and you had to duck down to get on the balcony (I am 5ft 6 for reference) which was not ideal. We had paid for a double room and there was 2 single beds in this room. I tried to call down to the reception 3 times with no answer, so I went down myself and explained the situation, and asked if there was another room available. I was made to feel like it was my fault for complaining, no apology for the inconvenience and the reception guy was very rude. He advised there was 1 other room so to try that if not then tough luck. |The second room had normal sized balcony doors and did not smell however they are seriously small rooms. The shower is so small, you can’t bend down in the shower or the bathroom, the bathroom light did not go off all night, the room itself was very small but it was better than the first one. This one had a double bed, but was very dated. There was only one socket for the fridge and the TV so couldn’t use both. We only had our room cleaned twice (2nd & 3rd day) but after that, no cleaning or fresh towels. |The pool area is nice, not many sun loungers but it wasn’t busy so it was fine. Pool was very clean and the guys at the bar were really lovely! The breakfast was very minimal so we ate out for breakfast every day. But the normal menu is lovely, we had the four cheese pizza and chicken Kebab.|When we checked out the same guy who checked us in was very rude again, he answered another call whilst we were talking to him and just took the keys off us and that was that. No thank you for your stay or nothing. I have never complained at a hotel before but I really did not enjoy this hotel. Will not be...
Read moreVery Disappointing. Pluses: Great location and breakfast. The standard room we were in had a very lovely view of the magnificent sunset. Super close to restaurants, supermarkets, transportation. The staff at the restaurant section out front were very friendly and did their job really well. That was all I can say that was positive. Negatives: Unfortunately where it failed for us was the room and premises. It was dirty. The entrance had rubbish and an old mattress strewn at the stairwell. Garden full of weeds. The room looked like it had only been wiped and not scrubbed. The floors were sticky. The only saving grace was the comfortable bed ( but had no mattress protector ) which was clean and bath towels. The bathroom had seen better days. Black mould in shower cubicle. And on ceiling. As we were on the first floor all debris from the upper floors were strewn within eyesight. We had dirty underwear in full view right outside our balcony. When I provided feedback about the underwear and mould the manager lady thanked me and said they were going to be renovating in November. Half expecting that at least the underwear would be removed and measures taken to clean our bathroom. It was not to be. I booked for 5 nights and not once had our room been reset. When I asked for an extra blanket and towels it never came. Fortunately I found the linen cupboard and made up our bed and refreshed our towels and toilet paper myself. After speaking with a few other guests they too observed the same lack of response and they too reset their own rooms. I just felt that a little effort would have made a big difference. They only had 1 cleaner servicing all the rooms!! Considering how much we paid they could have used the money towards hiring another cleaner. I hope they will take this feedback on board and improve their customer experience as the hotel has...
Read moreWe have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Mia Casa, which was a birthday treat for our mother who is 89, our stay was amazing from start to finish. Originally we were due to arrive three weeks earlier but due to illness we had to cancel, the hotel was so understanding and allowed us to move our booking with 4 days notice, they were so supportive and helpful. They arranged our transfers which were faultless and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a beautiful triple room which had sea views, the beds were so comfortable and clean, it was a real bonus having tea and coffee making facilities in the room as was the safe and fridge. The Mia Casa's best attribute though was their amazing friendly, helpful staff, they made us feel so welcome and made our mother's birthday treat really special. The location is fantastic and being able to watch the wonderful Calis sunset with a glass of wine just perfect. Breakfast was plentiful and being able to sit right next to the beach on nice comfortable seating whilst eating it, idilic. We recommend this hotel 100%, everything was perfect for us and we will certainly be back. Thankyou to all the staff who made us feel so welcome, you made our holiday😀 and we look forward to seeing you again hopefully in September, Amy,...
