The Bostanci Hotel — Hotel in Kadıköy

From the outside and at first glance Bostanci Hotel seems like a simple ordinary hotel , however a closer look proves otherwise . The hotel's location is probably its best asset along with the magnificent view from the hotel's restaurant which is pretty much on the top floor of the hotel. The amazing and delicious breakfast along with the view gives this hotel real value in my opinion , its these two factors that I enjoyed most about this Hotel , the rooms were O.K , nothing special . Bottom Line , Bostanci Hotel is a place that I would come back to stay at . The only problem I encountered at the Hotel was a rude night shift front desk employee who completely humiliated a female friend of mine who was just coming up to my room for a few minutes as I was still not ready one night for dinner. The front desk employee thought she was an escort dressed up coming to my room and told her her client had to pay for double occupancy before she could go into the elevator , while in reality , it was a friend and we were going out to dinner and I wasn't ready and she had her own apartment a few blocks away . I flipped on the guy , talked to management and they apologized to the female who's father happens to be a prominent lawyer in Istanbul . That fiasco aside , it was a great trip and as others pointed out the area is packed with great cafes , bars and tons of places to eat , especially when it comes to seafood . Do NOT leave Bostanci without trying the "Mediya" , Clams or Oysters stuffed with rice , it was AMAZING , oh and the octopus salads , WOW ! The hotel is ok however Its not as per their website being luxury. Website shows that they have swimming pools but when we arrived it was out of action. Make sure you ask this before booking. We didnt get a reimbursement instead they told us they can provide 30mins of spa which is unbearable during istanbul summer. My kids were very disappointed. The hotel is located on a busy street and its noisy. The lift is old and doesn’t recognise sequence. It stops every level. It takes ages to go up. We got a deluxe room and the bathroom had moulds all over it. The aircon was working but never cooled the room. It wasnt just us, as other guests had aircon problems as well. The room size was ok and breakfast was above average, but if you stay more than 2 days, you will get bored of eating same thing as the breakfast variety doesn’t change. Be informed that if you catch the fast inter city trains, most of the taxis wont pick you up as its short distance. We called the hotel as we were stranded at the Bostanci YHT but hotel couldnt help. They couldve just called a taxi to pick us up. Same thing happened when we requested for taxi to airport. Being familiar with Istanbul taxis, i wanted to know the cost up front and pay only fixed rate. I have asked the hotel to agree on the cost with the taxi. Firstly they said they can get us a taxi, but when I asked for a fixed fee, they pulled out and said they couldnt organise one. I just had to google up a taxi station which was only 300m away and got a taxi in short notice and fixed price. I wouldnt stay or...

Good but will not stay here again. The 3 🌟 is for the incredible and very good staff memebers who I think should work in 5 start hotels. But the hotel itself is not worth the money first we had booked a room with 2 queen beds upper floor good view and smoke. Upon arrival we were told thy only had first floor available and the room had one single bed one double bed also the room we booked was big in dimensions this room we got was really small there was no hot water the airconditoner didn't work. The good part was the satellite TV that had all the American TV channels in English took me a while to figure the 2 remote control but then I found It and it was great. As I mentioned the staff in this hotel was great anything we asked helped with was provided for us. We couldn't eat at the restaurant because of our autistic child and there was no food allowed to be taken from breakfast to the room but when we explain to the staff that we had to take the food to our room they said ok. We needed help locating our lost baggage and the front desk lady and guy both helped us by calling the baggage claim for us even though we didn't get our luggage up until now but they did try so...
