We booked here initially for 2 days after having a pretty bad experience at an AirBnB and an OK experience at another more pricy hotel in Şişli just so we could check how their service is.
We stayed in a one level higher room than the average room and we ended up extending with them for another 6 days and then another 13 days as we were pleasantly surprized with the friendly and helpful staff almost all of whom can speak fluent English, the overall cleanliness and the proximity of the property to sea and train transporation (8 mins to pier and 6 mins to Bostancı Marmray) and the nice refreshing view of the Princess Islands from some of the rooms and outside the property.
Few other things to note: Internet works well and at a decent speed. Room decor is really nice. Shower has good hot and cold water readily available. The house keeping staff actually care about the cleaning, we observed them taking their time with the cleaning. At the time of our visit the roof top area was only available to take pictures but nothing much else. We were here close to winter time (October) so the AC was not an issue but I think they would need to be serviced to function better in summer time or deeper into the winter as it only works as a fan, no heating or cooling so check with them before hand. There is a laundry shop next to the hotel with reasonable rates if you ask them to only wash and you can iron clothes yourself. From the moment we reached out, the staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. They quickly secured us a room and made us feel at home from the very start. Throughout our stay, the team went above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and anything else we needed. Even though we were the only English speakers in the area, every member of staff communicated clearly in English, which made our experience seamless and stress-free.
Our room was spotless, modern, and equipped with everything we needed — you can tell great care goes into maintaining the property. The hotel’s location couldn’t have been better either: surrounded by authentic local restaurants, supermarkets, and just a short walk to a beautiful pier.
Looking back, I’m actually grateful that our original accommodation didn’t work out, because our stay at Hotel Ceilo was absolutely faultless. The highlight of it all was, without a doubt, the staff — genuinely kind, approachable, and full of warmth.

Read moreDon't make a reservation if you'll be travelling all day long and unreachable on the day of your checking in.||||I made a reservation for a week stay at La Cielo Suites on the 17th of September. We received a booking confirmation as well as a separate email to confirm that we'll be checking in between 9pm - 10pm and that the hotel will be able to accommodate this. ||||We left home in England before 5AM on the 4th of October, travelled all day long and arrived at the hotel just before 9PM only to be told that they tried to reach us during the day and gave our room to someone else because they couldn't reach us to confirm that we were arriving on the agreed date and time. I even got told off for not checking my phone during the day!||||Well, my confirmation email on the 17th said my booking was confirmed and I received a separate email to confirm that our requested check-in time (21:00 - 22:00) will be arranged at no extra charge. So I don't know how it could have been more clear that we would arrive on the check-in date???||||They claim that the booking details that they received from Booking.com was missing the cvc code so they couldn't take the payment on the day of the travel.
