Hello good morning, my name is Yuval Shaul|Unfortunately, my experience with booking and the hotel I booked is not a good one.|My parents flew to Izomir in Turkey for a vacation. Their names are Hamotel and Shlomi Shaul|I booked them LA'GORA hotel for 3 nights between the dates: 03-06/08/2023 (the reservation is in the name of my mother Hamotel Shaul)|On Thursday 3/8/2023 when they arrived at the hotel, they checked in. They were not in the room and went for a walk. When they came back at night and showered, there was no hot water at all but frozen water in the shower! In the morning when my father got up, he immediately ran to tell the reception about the terrible problem that it was not possible to take a shower and that it was not okay at all. And the clerks received him at the reception, understood him completely and said that unfortunately it was a malfunction in the hotel and that it is not expected to be fixed at the moment.|My father said he couldn't stay because of this problem, they understood him completely and told him to talk to Booking, and that they take responsibility for the problem, and that he should talk to Booking, who will send a request to cancel the cancellation, and the hotel will approve the cancellation even without a fine! Because they take responsibility for the malfunction of the hot water and understand that a guest cannot stay with such a malfunction.|My parents called me that morning from the reception because I made the reservation for them through you. I called you at 9:00 and spoke with a representative named Tomer. He understood the situation and called the hotel and asked them to confirm the cancellation he sent. He will confirm the cancellation.|So, I told my parents to leave the hotel so as not to waste their time and go to another hotel that we closed at that moment so that they could continue the trip, and mainly because the officials stated that it would be a shame to wait because the cancellation from the hotel takes 3-5 days.|On Saturday 8/5/2023 I received a booking email from you to the phone at this address that I sent this email to.||An email stating that the hotel claims that we did not check in at the hotel and do we confirm this statement|Of course I mentioned that they were at the hotel and had checked in.|At that moment I sent an email to the hotel, asking why they don't confirm the cancellation as they said and point out that we didn't do it, of course they didn't respond to my email.||Yesterday, at noon, I spoke again with a representative named Majda who was lovely and understood the case and said she would help as much as possible and talked to the hotel and said she refuses to verify that he did yes he checked no and asked for proof that they were at the hotel.||He is from France, they took pictures from the hotel and even took pictures from inside their room!! So how does the hotel say they did not check in?? Please prove it to them with these pictures. In addition, because the clerks at the reception spoke English at a level that could be understood, but only Turkish, they even translated with Google Translate for my parents how to cancel the order, which also includes photos of the translation they wrote on their phone (the clerks'). There are even screenshots from the family WhatsApp group that Ray sent there messages that they are in the hotel, in the room. So you have all the evidence to solve this matter against a lying hotel!|One day and you won't solve this matter with hotels, I will go online to all media not to order through Booking because they do not properly represent the customer!! I found that I ordered through Booking, I ordered on the best website there is, and in this case I don't feel that way.||Please let me know how you...

Loved this hotel. Well located, just off the main bazaar in Izmir (Kemeralti) we often picked up sweets and fruits from the bazaar on our way back to the hotel in the evenings. Rooms are gorgeous, just as they look in the pictures. Well air conditioned, beds are very comfortable. A cleaner comes in everyday and makes the beds, provides fresh towels. There is soap, shampoo, body lotion and conditioner provided in the bathrooms and refreshed as needed as well as water bottles (refreshed every day) and chocolate/tea/coffee. They even laid out my pajamas nicely on the bed. The rooms overlook a pretty courtyard which is a very popular restaurant/bar with locals and tourists alike. There is live music every night, dinner goes late into the night but it's a lovely atmosphere. (Staff are v friendly, couples slow dancing to the live music) I personally loved it. There are tables and chairs outside the hotel rooms and I love to sit at them in the evenings and observe the crowd below or read my book. However if you don't want to be in a noisy area and are traveling with young children, then this probably isn't the place for you. Even though I have noticed that the hotel provides high chairs and bassinets for babies. 4 min walk to metro station and 10 min walk to railway station as well. Within walking distance of the pier/harbour as well. The receptionist was witty and helpful. Breakfast is typical of a Turkish hotel, an assortment of foods such as cereals, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, eggs etc with the staff offering delicious tea or coffee from the bar. We chose to have our breakfast in the courtyard every morning. Overall, very happy with my stay...

I stayed 10 nights in December 2022 Location: In heart of a busy bazaar and adjacent to a fish market. Check-in: Smooth Room: Quiet at nights, comfortable bed, and clean sheets, however, no safe box and no window to natural light. Most rooms’ windows opens to hotel’s so-called open-air central restaurant which its ceiling is tightly covered and has limited ventilation while smoking is allowed. So if you open your room’s window, you may get bothered by the heavy smoking smell. Breakfast: Basic menu. Nothing hot, no toaster, no sausages or hot eggs and milk, and no juices on the tables. They bring you coffee or tea. You may ask for omelet if you know it in advance.. Check-out: Waited for about 15 minutes because of their own mistake in registration system. Afterward, they tried to charge me a fee for breakfast’s coffee, tea and omelet which I told them I should have been notified in advance for the charges. Eventually, they did not charge me for it. Issues: 1- Loose wall lamp over bedside table. They did not fix it and just said, “Don’t worry, it won’t fall!” 2- Horrible squeak of bathroom door’s hinge. Partially fixed after a few times of speaking with reception. 3- Toilet flusher malfunction. I had to hold it for half a minute. Not fixed. 4- Hot water shut off one night around 4 am. Found out when I could not sleep and went for a shower. The next morning, I asked reception for an explanation. They simply said, “You can take shower now.” 5- Not replied my email sent one week before arriving...

If you're in İzmir and looking for a cozy, charming spot to enjoy some delicious cake and tea Lagora Old Town is a fantastic choice. Located in the heart of the city, this quaint café offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, with a welcoming and intimate atmosphere. The tea selection at Lagora is impressive. Whether you prefer traditional Turkish tea or something a bit more unique, like herbal infusions or fruit teas, there’s something for every taste. The tea is always served fresh, with a perfect balance of flavors, and is accompanied by a small glass of water — a nice touch that adds to the authentic experience. As for the cake, Lagora doesn’t disappoint. The cakes are beautifully crafted and rich in flavor, offering a wonderful mix of textures and ingredients. From classic chocolate cakes to more delicate fruit-based cakes, the selection is both diverse and indulgent. The cakes are freshly made, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients, making every bite feel like a treat. A particularly standout option is their cheesecake, which is smooth, creamy, and absolutely delicious.

Given our short stay, the location of L'Agora was perfect. Nestled right in the middle of the bazaar and close to multiple modes of transport, it was ideal for exploring the old town on foot, and organising day tours out to Efes, etc. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. When we arrived, the concierge was kind enough to offer us the choice of 2 available rooms, and the staff were attentive throughout our stay. The rooms are as they appear on the website. Every room overlooks the central courtyard, which has live music and diners until around 11pm. The windows are double-glazed and we were not bothered by the sounds but earplugs are advised if you have noise sensitivity. Smoking is allowed in the central courtyard, and there can be a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the rooms, but that's something you generally can't avoid in the region. A few people have complained about the shower being cold, but you just need to run it for a few minutes to heat up. The water temperature and pressure is incredible. Overall, I would stay here anytime I visited İzmir.

We booked this hotel for a 13-night stay during our holiday in Izmir and were not disappointed at all. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful from the very first moment - they were kind enough to upgrade our room to a triple room due to our long stay. The building has authentic and beautiful architecture - the room was very spacious and clean. There is a restaurant that does not belong to the hotel but works together with the hotel. The staff of the restaurant were very kind and welcoming everytime - special thanks to Süleyman, Ilyas & Serkan for their hospitality and service. The only negative part is the fact that the hotel is situated within the Kemeraltı Bazaar which gets too dark all of the sudden as soon as the sellers close their stores - it does not feel safe to walk in the district after 20:30.
