The hotel caters well for children. There are two large pools, a pool for very small children and a pool with 4 water slides. The slides are only open between 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm daily. The slides cannot he used outside of these hours. Nothing on the hotel website about this. ||There is a lot of poolside entertainment which is largely catering for adults but some suitable for children. The hotel in my view is cantered around Turkish and or German tourists. Some of the staff speak in English but many don’t. ||There is kids entertainment in the evening but again this is mainly catering for Turkish or German guests. The adult entertainment is dubious and risqué at times. ||All the hotel is smoking and no where is off limits. ||The food is fine and caters for most. My children enjoyed the food. The food at the Italian restaurant was awful. The buffet was better. On another note, you only get one a la carte dinner if you’re staying 7 nights or more. Not all the restaurants are open every day and you need to book in the morning. Nothing on the hotel website about this. ||At the buffet, little help is offered in getting a table. You have to fend for yourself. ||For all the good points, I felt that holiday could have been so much more if the staff were friendlier, more caring and more helpful. When we arrived at reception, we weren’t assisted by anyone and left to sort out our own luggage without the services of a bell boy. Despite the receptionist seeing we were struggling with pushchairs, luggage, no help was offered. Due to an issue with the booking rather than two rooms, we were given a two bed suite until our rooms became available. This was a tactic by the hotel as they had overbooked. The hotel claims not to charge for under 3 year olds but it does, and so we were told to pay an extra 80 euros per night unless we accepted then accommodation on offer. We had no choice but to wait for our rooms to become free after two nights. ||Housekeeping only tended to the bedding and do not clean on a daily basis. When this was pointed out to the staff, we were told we’d have to wait until the following day for the vacuuming to be done. Even when the bathroom was pointed out the cleaning was not done. Any complaints were dismissed and not taken seriously. ||We booked a taxi for 7 people for our transfer back to the airport and despite being assured we’d have the correct transport, a five seater was offers to us when there were 7 passengers. When we complained we were told to sort out our own taxi when the hotel was clearly at fault. No assistance was given to rectify this nor were we refunded our money for the 7 seater we paid for. ||All in all, the staff need lessons on how to treat guests. Had they been more professional, the issues highlighted ||above would not have felt so big if we had been treated better. ||It felt like every time we asked for something we were being a nuisance. ||Some of the waiting staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome but overall, this hotel is no where near a five star establishment. ||The hotel is a 5 minute walk away from the beach which is fine, though a bus service is available (though not really a bus, more like a truck). ||The hotel is opposite the Side Mall which isn’t the most glamorous of areas. The surrounding area is full of shops selling counterfeit goods. ||If you do go to this hotel, a visit to Side promenade and the ruins is an...
Read more3 STAR HOTEL NOT 5 STAR.||||AVOID this hotel. The staff are extremely rude especially the spa staff Gurdain and Ezra. They are con artists and lie.||Management is terrible especially Ali Jan. ||We were a large group and tried to book the spa after being harassed by Ezra to try the spa.||We were tempted with a discount and decided to book. The children were invited to join us. They wanted payment upfront which we were happy to do.||Once all the details were confrmed, Gurdain ( the spa manager) inflated the price, Ezra then lied on the agreed price and said it would cost us more. She said Gurdain was in a " bad mood" and changed her mind. Gurdain then claims she doesn't understand English when she did before. It is all an orchestrated double act to con guests into paying more. Gurdain admitted that their pay includes incentives that are commision based by saying if we pay less her wages go down.||||Shocking behaviour. They are con artists who work together to get guests to pay more. ( see photo below)|||| When we complained to Ali Jan and the general manager, we were told the spa are a seperste entity and nothing to do with them.||||Our experience was terrible from the start.||We arrived late at night at 1am, having paid for the full night and I still couldn't get into my room until 3am due to faulty key cards. We had small kids with us. This was just the start of a nightmare stay.||||The bathroom had a awful sewage type smell for the duration and despite numerous reports it was not fixed throughout. We had to tolerate the smell for 7 days. We had booked a suite so you can imagine the disappointment.||House keeping was hit and miss. Sometimes it was cleaned, had to ask for towels everyday and toiletries on a daily basis. Hotel tries to cut costs where possible||||The management were useless especially Ali Jan, who was dismissive rude and fobs you off.||The General Manager claims he does not speak english and acts like he's the king of the hotel and the guests need to bow down to him. He doesnt care if you are unhappy.||||It is an absolute shame as the hotel could be great however the staff have an attitude of " entitlement" and you would think they were paying you to stay.||||Absolute poor service, poor staff attitude and management is extremely substandard. Food is the same, day in day out. We all had dodgy stomachs throughout. ||If you want a friendly welcoming hotel which is well run and well staffed- this is not the place for you. Plenty of other nicer hotels to choose from in Side.||||Is more like a 3 star than a 5 star!||I wouldn't waste my money here. We definitely will...
Read moreStayed at the Luna Blanca for 5 days with my family of four (2 adults, 2 Children). We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is exactly as shown in the pictures. ||The location is good, short walk to a lot of shops nearby, right opposite the Mall of Side and a 10-minute walk to the beach. The food in the hotel was good, they had different themes in the evenings and a good variety, and the desserts are excellent. Breakfast was good and a good selection of hot and cold foods available; I can’t fault it. The hotel staff are good and waiters would attend to you for drinks quickly. The rooms were maintained daily and bed covers were changed, we had a good housekeeper who was very friendly. The staff in general are friendly and helpful in my experience. Ice creams, drinks were readily available for adults and children and staff were approachable. ||The kids enjoyed the poolside restaurant and the lunch and the staff serving were good. The pools were also clean and good to be in, the pool area and the lounge area is also well maintained and kept clean. Plenty of umbrellas for shades and the appearance of the hotel, rooms and pool is nice as shown in pictures. Wi-fi in rooms had good connection and the rooms were a good size (we had the family resort room) the bathroom was nice and served its function (we only had a shower in our room, but it was BIG). In my opinion the hotel is both adult and child friendly, the way it is formatted, adults can also lounge around the pool and be more relaxed with no distractions from children. But there is also the middle pool and the childrens pool with a slide. Which is out of the way and kids can have fun without disturbing adults.||In the evenings they had entertainment which was good for the kids and the hotel do excel in the entertainment area well as they hosted different themes/events. I think it’s a good balance for children and adults.|Cons: Air conditioning - I feel was controlled centrally and was not readily available and was activated by hotel. It wasn’t extremely hot so it wasn’t too much of an issue, one night it was hot and the AC did work.|I would say there is a higher population of german/Russian tourists as opposed to English tourists. To me this was not an issue.||Overall, a good experience, happy with my stay and I would recommend this for families, couples and adults. In Antalya, they prefer Euros but I did use Lira, they just convert it from euros to lira. I didn’t buy or use the shops...
