ANSWER TO HOTEL:
Ah, the famous ISO-certified kitchen, where even the bacteria get the 5-star treatment. My compliments to the chef for the unique pairing of bacterias (not a virus) and antibiotics from nearest hospital—truly unforgettable. Maybe instead of perfecting your replies, you could perfect your cleaning routine?
I did share my concerns with the front desk and the guest relations team. Their response? A heartfelt shrug. “Your stuff, your problem” is apparently the customer service mantra. At least they’re consistent—unlike the food hygiene.
Welcome to Maramare Queen, the five-star disaster where misery is served all-inclusive. From suffocating heat in rooms without functional A/C to the perfume of sewage wafting through the air, every moment here is an adventure in suffering. Add daily food poisoning, hospital trips that cost a fortune, and a buffet so bland it could double as punishment, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a vacation from hell.
Hotel Horrors: Where Dreams Go to Die
A/C: A Privilege, Not a Right Think you’re paying for 24/7 air conditioning? Think again! The central system dances to the whims of management. After October 30th, they graciously switch it off entirely. The solution? Open the balcony door for some “fresh air,” and in return, welcome a battalion of mosquitoes ready to turn your night into a buffet—you being the main course. Smell the Experience Who needs luxury perfumes when you can enjoy the ever-present aroma of sewage wafting through the grounds? Depending on the wind, your room could be an olfactory nightmare. Dining with the Invisible Dining service? More like a ghost story. Staff conveniently vanish when you need them most. If you’re lucky, you’ll get your fresh juice and drip coffee since these are the only that cannot be obtained from buffet. The Joyless Buffet Variety is overrated, apparently. Enjoy the same bland dishes on repeat. Coffee comes in powdered misery form, while the morning drip coffee and fresh juices are the sole highlights—until they disappear entirely come November. Beer? Watered down unless you supervise every pour like a hawk. A Smoky Inferno If you’re not a smoker, you will be by osmosis. This place is a giant ashtray where every guest puffs away like a chimney, turning every “smoke-free zone” into a hilarious suggestion. Sleepless Nights Guaranteed Love peace and quiet? Tough luck! The hotel blasts loud, low-frequency music until 11 PM, while neighboring hotels extend the party to 1 AM. The best music of the entire trip? One decent playlist in 21 days. Safety is an Afterthought Don’t bother bringing valuables to the beach—they’ll vanish faster than a waiter in the dining hall. Guards shrug it off, and the hotel? Oh, they’re totally on it… by doing absolutely nothing. Health Roulette Maramare’s signature dish? Food poisoning. Guests routinely head to the hospital, paying €350 per person plus €40 in taxi fares. One unlucky German family took an all-inclusive trip straight to the ER. The hotel? Zero support and a demand for €2 for a hospital landline call—pay up or stay hostage at checkout! Beach Battle Royale First, you’ll need to fight off hordes of guests for a lounger. With more people than seats, the scene resembles a survival show—only less fun. Ice-Cold Beach Fun Nothing like the invigorating chill of a river outlet dumping icy water near the swimming area. Perfect for ruining a sunny day. Lost in Translation Unless you’re fluent in German or Turkish, good luck. English speakers are rarer than a clean beach lounger, and Russian fares only slightly better. Justice in Slow Motion Fishermen flouting swim zone laws? Don’t worry—the hotel and police will handle it… may be... Wi-Fi That Isn’t Forget streaming or even basic browsing. The Wi-Fi struggles to handle anything, even during the low season. Perfect for disconnecting—against your will.

Read moreUnfortunately we haven't had a great holiday experience st the Miramare Side Queen hotel.||||After a late flight and arriving early hours of Monday morning, after being shown our room we had noticed a small ant problem in the bathroom and the main part of the hotel room. As my wife and daughters were already extremely tired, I spoke to reception to advise of the problem but to come and resolve in the morning.||||After no contact, i raised this with the hotel again.||||Shortly after returning to the room, the ant infestation had got significantly worse and we found ants all over the bathroom, tea/coffee station and on the bedding. I went back to the hotel reception and requested a room transfer.||||The hotel advised this was not possible as they were fully booked but they could come and fumigate the room which we were then not allowed to return for an hour. I advised this was not acceptable and pushed for a room change. The hotel advised they could looking into a room change for the following day but were unable to do anything for Monday night.||||As I went back to my room, my daughter (who is afraid of insects) was in hysterics when told we would need to remain in the room for at least 1 further evening. We raised this with our Jet2 rep and fortunately they were able to escalate and have us move us to a new room although it was disappointing it required this intervention for this to be done.||||We hoped this start wouldn't ruin our holiday and for the next couple of days we really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, on the Wednesday afternoon I began to feel very unwell with sickness, diarrhoea, and stomach cramps. After having tried to sleep it off for the evening (hoping it was just a bug), both my wife and my daughter had the same symptoms the following day but unfortunately significantly more severe and were both room-bound from Thursday evening until our departure on Sunday evening. This can be verified by the hotel housekeeping staff looking after our block who were unable to make our room but were kind enough to supply us with fresh towels daily.||||I queried this with guest relations on Friday to see if any other guests had reported an issue, advising we had not consumed any food outside the hotel but unfortunately due to a significant language barrier I think there was a misunderstanding of what I was advising.||||I noticed another guest in the buffet who appeared to be suffering from stomach cramps and again raised this with guest relations and our Jet2 rep who followed up with the hotel.||||I had a call Sunday afternoon where the hotel had asked for support from the Miramare Beach hotel guest relations representative (Cathy) who was extremely helpful and the first person who demonstrated some empathy with our situation.||||Thankfully we managed to make it back to the UK and both my wife and daughter have seen the GP who have conducted tests and confirm salmonella was present...
Read moreThis hotel is located perfectly, with the beach less than a 5 min walk away and plenty of shops and places to eat, within walking distance. ||The hotel is very clean and well.kept. The majority of staff are friendly and welcoming. My friend had an issue with a rude waiter and one of the waitresses didn't seem to appreciate taking our orders, but whatever! As I said, the majority of staff were great. We tipped our fave staff member generously when we left.||Our room overlooked the pool and was okay, Noticed a couple of days that the sheets were not changed which was annoying but we told the housekeeper and that was rectified. She didn't seem happy, but that's what we paid for - to have clean sheets!||The food...hmm..I've had better but we never went hungry. The food at the snack bar, we preffered over the buffet lunch during the day. The crepes at breakfast were nice. We had a nice meal at the a la carte restaurant, but feel portions could have been a bit larger.||Entertainment was okay a couple of nights, the Beyonce impersonation routine were good.||You can use the water slides next door at Miramare Beach. The kids loved those. The Beach can get busy but we always managed to find sunbeds, but then we did go later in the day. The sand is soft, not grainy or rough.||Lots of German and Russian guests, we only met two other British families during our stay, but it didn't make a difference. We had a great time regardless.||Tip: We got our own stainless steel bottles filled up with cocktails at the pool bar, as they'd stay cold for hours and save us...
