While the hotel is clearly geared towards families, it also makes a great choice for those travelling solo or without children. Itās much more modern than other hotels Iāve stayed at in Turkey, and its beachfront location is a highlight. ||I stayed at this hotel as a solo female traveller and, just like with previous trips to Turkey, I never once felt unsafe. I was comfortable walking to nearby shops and exploring the local area on my own.||The transfer from the airport took around 1 hour and 50 minutes, with our stop being 4 out of 6.||There were a few minor issues that slightly affected the overall experience, but would say the holiday was predominately positive.||General|The hotel itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, it is modern, clean and spacious. However service wise it was clear that staff tend to prioritise German, Turkish, and Russian guests over others. It also felt like staff were more attentive to larger groups, possibly in hopes of receiving bigger tips, rather than providing consistent service to all guests.||Rooms|The room was lovely. I stayed on the 5th floor and had a fantastic view of the sea as well as the hotel grounds. Sitting on the balcony in the evening and listening to the entertainment was great especially on the live band nights if I ventured back to my room early on. ||The rooms are cleaned everyday to a high standard and also had a turn down service on the evening. ||There is a shop on site which stocks all the things you might have forgotten to pack, as well as sun cream, drinks, toys, souvenirs and lots of other things. All reasonably priced - in euros. ||Food / Restaurant|The restaurant did a number of themed nights including Turkish, Asian (probably the best night food wise), fish and Italian. There was a variety of food and a huge selection of fresh fruit and vegetables at each meal. ||Service in the restaurant was inconsistent. One morning at breakfast, I went the entire meal without being asked if Iād like a drink, despite trying to flag someone down multiple times. During evening meals the staff seemed more on the ball.||The restaurant would be such a nicer place if they had adults only seating area. For most of the meals it was hard to enjoy with kids loudly watching YouTube on phones or other devices to keep them occupied. I understand this is a family hotel but there isnāt really any need for everyone around you to have to listen to it too! ||There is a patisserie bar which offers cakes, pastries and sandwichās throughout the afternoon along with a variety of ice cream flavours, to be enjoyed outside or in a lovely air conditioned bar. ||Spa|I booked a spa package that included a Turkish bath, scrub, full-body massage, and face mask. The treatments themselves were great, and afterward I was led to a relaxation area and offered Turkish tea, the experience would have been 10/10 and my most favourite part of the holiday. Unfortunately, the relaxation was cut short by a male staff member who repeatedly tried pressuring me into booking additional treatments. This went on for 15ā20 minutes and made me feel uncomfortable enough to leave quickly to avoid further contact. It completely ruined the sense of peace the spa should offer.||Pool|The pool is lovely with plenty of padded sun-beds, which were very comfortable and lots of umbrellas for shade including a grassed section under the trees which provided shade for most of the day for those wanting to avoid the sun. There were also lots of sunbeds available down on the beach area, so I never had to worry about finding a spot. There is a childrenās pool but most kids will use the main pool which is fine, however you do have to dodge inflatables and toys left at the pool...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy recent 10-day stay at Miramare Beach left me with mixed feelings. The hotel itself is stunningly beautifulāthe communal areas are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing, setting a high standard from the moment you arrive. Our room, while not having a balcony, was kept immaculately clean by the excellent housekeeping staff.|However, a few issues prevented this from being the five-star experience we'd hoped for. We booked a room without a balcony, and though we considered an upgrade, it would have cost an extra Ā£800 through Jet2. Having already paid nearly Ā£4000 for our holiday, we felt that at that price point, a balcony should have been a given, which left us with mixed feelings. The soundproofing was a significant issue, and the constant hum of a generator outside our window was disruptive. We were also confused when our room number was suddenly replaced with a "nurses room" sign, with no explanation from the staff. Another point of frustration was the air conditioning, which inexplicably turned off every night at 4 a.m., making it hard to get a full night's rest. For British travelers, it's important to note that this is a German hotel chain, and most communication is in German, despite being described as English-speaking. We found it difficult to communicate with staff at times due to the language barrier.|The food was a mixed bag. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a fantastic variety of fresh dishes, with different themes each night for dinner. The patisserie was a definite highlightāthe homemade cakes and gelato were delicious. The beach bar was also a great option for lunch with its table service and varied menu. However, the lunch buffet was quite repetitive, and the desserts were fairly standard all-inclusive fare.|A note on the pools: The hotel is described as having four pools, but this is a bit misleading. The indoor pool is only for the off-season, and of the outdoor pools, one is a kids' splash pool and another is a set of slides, which aren't suitable for swimming. The main pool is quite small and can get very crowded with inflatables, making it difficult to swim. On a positive note, we never had a problem finding a sun lounger, as they were located throughout the grounds, not just by the pool. The beach was also lovely, and there were plenty of sun loungers available there all day. The water was wonderfully warm, though it could be a bit choppy at times.|The spa was a nice amenity, starting with a complimentary 15-minute massage. Afterward, we were offered a package of three one-hour massages and a Hammam, which cost us around Ā£140 each.|One of the biggest letdowns was the entertainment. Both the daytime and nighttime activities were sparse and lacked engagement. The animation team seemed disconnected, and the nightly performances were not very interactive. The on-site nightclub was empty, and it was disappointing to see the staff trying to sell tickets to a different local club instead.|The hotel is located in a small town with some shops and restaurants, but it is quite far from major tourist areas. Side's Old Town is a 5km walk along the beach or a 15-minute taxi ride, while Antalya's Old Town is an hour-long taxi ride away (we paid ā¬140 for a return transfer from the hotel).|In conclusion, this hotel is a good choice if you are someone who likes to be left alone and use the hotel as a quiet base for exploring the area. However, if you prefer to spend most of your holiday at the resort and enjoy a wide range of on-site activities and entertainment, I would recommend looking at larger resorts closer to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe wanted to this hotel for the first time with whole family for 2 weeks (July2021) , on a recommendation of our tour agent. In general, the impression is good but for Turkey it is probably the LOWEST customer service !Essentially: Rooms. Tidy and Clean, very stylish and modern, there is a free minibar, a large selection of channels, a small bathroom but enough for 2 persons in a room. They clean the rooms well, especially the housekeeping ladies are extremely nice šš» Be prepared for a very hard mattress, as if sleeping on a board. Food . Fruits, vegetables, grilled everything is there. Of the minuses, you will not find morning eggs, three women with a mobile kitchen walk around the restaurant, but the algorithm of their movement is not clear. They do not understand everything you request to cook. Employees are very indifferent, they ignore you, not to mention the dribble you eat when you want something. There is no place to eat between 16.00 and 18.30, only ice cream, small patisserie with ānot so fresh and poor sandwichesā. The territory is good, a lot of greenery, a good pool, there are slides for children. Overall the hotel looks modern, for kids is safe. Beach. Gentle entrance 50 meters, enough sun loungers. There is a beach bar. But is annoying when every 10-15 minutes someone is asking you āin a annoying wayā about massage or shopping of clothes. Service. Very very poor level, when the glass is taken away at the restaurant, they never asked if I wanted another drink. they do not bring the order in full, you call the waiter 30 minutes after the order, do it again, he says āokā or showing you the hand āim busy nowāand you sit still waiting for the order ā¦. Certain times asking for tea or napkins or a spoon⦠and in response you get an attitude and a wait. It was the worst part of the vacation! Each day at the main restaurant I had fights with waiters , is was terrible⦠especially when my kid was crying and craving for a tea or water and I could not get it for him and the timeā¦awfullyā¦and nobody from administration or restaurant workers never came to apologize. And the most difficult part of the holiday is that not all staff speak English or Russian, and you cannot even explain what is the problem or what you need š¤¦š¼āļø But thereās still few workers that are just adorable! In my opinion if all workers would be trained like them -this hotel would be greatest iāve ever been!!! Sefa from main restaurant - should train everyone there about customer service and care ! Fatih from lobby bar - should train all the bartenders ! Just because of those workers - our holiday remain with good memories. Limited activities for children. I would not recommend going with kids. The entertainment is bad and parts of the staff are very unfriendly and inattentive. Especially in kids roomā¦
In short we were ignored as no one spoke enough english to be of any real assistance or be able to make a complaint. If you come to relax, I would never recommend it because you get tired of chasing waiters or someone who will understand English or Russian.
If to be objective, then it's okay, but if take into account the price, then you can find a holiday hotel with better service and...
