This was our first trip to antalya and we were excited to explore the area. On arrival we were dropped on the main strip and was stunned to find our hotel surrounded by markets! We walked up the dark path (sunday morning nothing open) and upon walking into the hotel were greeted by a non-english speaking receptionist who managed to ask have we eaten to which we replied no (it was 3am and we were starving) we were told that there is a mini bar in the fridge which would be included in our stay. When we arrived in our room we were delighted at the clean spacious room with one double and one single bed and a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. We also had a balcony (this is where the first problem began) - the balcony was set opposite a chicken and goat farm and cockerels would heckle all times of the day and night. Adjacent/below to our balcony was a restaurant which in the back had its own nightclub and would play music until 3am! So to the 'minibar' which we were desperate to feast on after a long flight from Manchester was filled with water... just water! The beds were brilliant and every night we had a good nights sleep. The hotel was predominantly German and we found most of the staff also spoke no english. For us this ruined our holiday as we struggled to speak to anyone and found it hard to request anything as even when you thought somebody understood, in the end they didnt. The food was very repetitive only one meat or fish and again mainly catered for German holidaymakers although Turkish Night was good fun and one couple got engaged! Again the hotel had no entertainment, occasional music in the day and evening occasional bingo - although the dj with no hair was requesting songs from us frequently to make sure we enjoyed ourselves! The hotel serves 3 spirits Vodka Whisky Raki and Efes is at an additional cost as are cocktails. The beach bar is really difficult to find as there is very little signage but if you take the bus and walk back down the beach is quicker by foot than waiting for the coach. The beach bar is also not actually on the beach its at the VERY end up a hill! We were ignored several times in the beach bar and found that it was mixed with guests from || different hotel although you weren't allowed to use hotel facilities that weren't part of this hotel anywhere on the beach and were told off by a 'guard' if you did. After deciding it was 'too hot' for the beach we went back to the hotel to use the pool considering the beach bar was filling up with people to find all sun loungers were reserved with towels belonging to people we had just left in the beach bar down at the beach. After asking the receptionist for help again he couldn't understand so i asked for a manager who was not in until the late afternoon and after watching another couple leave and quickly taking there beds another worker came out with more loungers rather than take the towels off the beds that were clearly unoccupied! There was no lifeguard around the pool EVER! at one point a little boy went under the water after coming out of the slide with his dad and he swallowed too much water and started vomiting at the side of the pool and nobody came his dad had to take him to the pool toilets to clean him up - At this point i told a member of staff! The staff themselves are friendly but the language barrier makes it so difficult to converse with each other! Even just little things like asking for rum and getting whisky or asking for a fork because there were rarely any spare ones out and staff disappearing into the back and not returning simply because they didn't understand! The food got so repetitive that after a few nights we ate out and mostly skipped breakfast! Don't book tours through the hotel rep as they are generally a let down as over sold and again mainly non-speaking/broken-english. The staff are generally very friendly and those that could speak english tried their best to make our holiday a good one! Zaid made us drinks each night and would refill without request the correct order and would chat to us and tell us bits about the area. Kazim was our best member of staff! He spoke very little english but tried his best to learn from us and teach us turkish! He made us laugh and kept us entertained throughout each day and works very very hard at his job! Also the hotel photographer was our friend from our first day! He spoke fluent english and helped us translate many things (especially arranging our return airport transfers) He also took the liberty to go home and get my partner topical sunburn cream after he had burnt all his legs in the sun! Huge thank you!!! The hotel would be improved if the food was less repetitive and catered for different dietary needs. If the staff spoke a better quality of english the hotel would thrive on english guests but the area itself seemed to be predominantly german/russian. Expanding the range of alcohol available and local beers would improve the quality of the bar although the beach bar seemed a quite unfriendly place with no sun and again its technically not on the beach its set back on a hill! A life guard should definitely be employed for the pool for safety and also to ensure proper sunbed use and hygiene (glass cups around pool). Entertainment is something this hotel needs!!! Competing hotels have dj's and strobe lights and entertainment programs that weren't just darts or bingo and we found ourselves a little jealous of them! Unfortunately we won't be returning to this hotel as the area is not what we were looking for and it took us 3-4 days to hear another english voice! As much turkish and german as we tried to learn we just found it too hard to communicate with anyone in this part of turkey! We hope the hotel improves where possible and the staff are treated well as most do try very hard with little gratitude...
Read moreThe star given to this hotel is only for the ladies that are doing the cleaning.|I booked this holiday with Sunmaster and i was lied to starting with the number of stars this hotel is rated. Most of the websites rate this hotel with 4* but when you get there you will not give not even one and my photos and my experience there will explain why. I was traveling with my teenage son and i was promised a double room with 2 beds.I was even asked to pay almost 200£ more for the room as they said it’s a more expensive one. When i hot there at 3:00 a.m all tired (after the transfer bus driver was asking in an alien language for tip in exchange of my luggage altho i did pay for it when i booked the holiday) and i checked in.We were taken upstairs and surprise! a small horrible room with one bed in it.I told the man that this is not the room i booked and payed for and the man did not know any word in english but sensed that i was not happy with the room and he advised me to speak with the hotel’s manager in the morning.I was too tired to argue then and i waited for the morning. You must know that they only give one key card for the room- if you need a spare one they ask you for 10£/card.In case you loose the card you have to pay 20£.So the morning came and i went to speak with the manager.Another surprise:the manager does not speak any english either(in fact no one does in that hotel) so my matter with the room swap and what i payed for could not be discused so i have to deal with the agency. The manager did know to say in a rude manner “this my hotel” so he made it clear that he actually owns that place.I realised that even if i was given the 2 beds room it would not be a great one either. With the money i payed for it I could’ve easily stayed on a 5* hotel in the area but instead I ended up in a shed. All inclusive at this hotel means:water (lots if it),only one brand of beer, wine that is very close to vinegar, cheap soft drinks and coffee(see the photos).Food wise : chicken and turkey every day.Do not touch any of the salads there! They are not fresh,in fact they stink as they are kept there for days and if you do care about your health do not even taste it.Morning breakfast very poor.Other than that:cheap frozen fries, peas, chick peas, powder mashed potatoes, pasta with an anaemic sous.I promised myself that i will not eat chicken for the next 6 months. There was fish in 2 ocassions-it did not look cooked and the flyes were resting on it so did not had any will to put it in my plate.Very cheap deserts and fruits that are not fresh at all.The entertaiment team is just one guy who probably does not know that “team” means “more than one” who is very rude, frustrated and smokes all day while playing music from a laptop. The pool is cleaned every day but in those 10 days that i statedno kidds were using the toilet that is there so you must be prepared for it🤮 There is also a slide with no supervision either. The children did not respect the rules of using it therefore a 3 year old child broke his nose and the hotel has no responsability for it(probably they did not even asked about the childs health). When i dared to say anything i was told “parent has to pay,no hotel!” in a very rude manner. So Health and Safety regulations are not applied at all:no life guard,no slide supervision and in case of a medical emergency there is no one to give first aid.I am not sure how this hotel was rated but i can assure you that it is all a lie when it comes to what you see online.Actually there are nowhere photos that actually show the reality of that hotel.|Side area is lovely, lovely hotels and spas and amazing beach so feel free to go there but save you hard worked money and chose a different hotel.Hope this was helpfull for everyone that want to...
