We, a group of 4 adults have just spent 2 weeks at this hotel. Although we have had nice time away we would under no circumstances recommend this hotel to anyone travelling from the UK. Yes this sounds off but we were the only 4 English people in the complex. The language barrier from about 90% of the staff was the one of the main problems. You were ok if you spoke German, Polish or Russian. There were staff that spoke English but their understanding of the language if there were issues was minimal. For example, cleaning of toilets around the pool, 3 staff wanted to give me serviettes as they thought I needed toilet paper when in fact the toilets needed cleaning.|The hotel is advertised as 5* on many company pages and looks really well kept. in reality while the hotel was clean and tidy it is obvious that these photos may have been taken when the hotel was new sits now worn and dated. |We arrived late @ 2am due to our flight being delayed. Check in was smooth, taken to the room. There was no information in the room about the hotel, for example, buffet times, pool times, A La Carte restaurant, coffee shop, lunchtime cafe, the safe (which had to be rented, another shock for a 5* hotel), mini bar (that turned out to be just a fridge with water in it). We had to find these things ourselves, some of which we never found as we didn't know they existed. ||The room was adequate, but definitely not 5. Asked for extra bedding which took 2 days and further requests to arrive. A broken shower attachment also took over 2 days to repair, with daily request. The room was not cleaned daily and we had to ask for the bedding to be changed every time as it didn't happen otherwise. We didn't expect this daily but at least twice a week would have been nice along with a change of towels. The bottled water, tea, coffee, etc were also not replaced. We did raise this issue with reception and it improved for a day then fell short again. ||The buffet, this was clean and tidy, again the staff had a big language barrier if your only language was English. Yes there was a lot of choice food wise, but it was very repetative and some dishes appeared daily. The food was never hot, mainly warm, fish, chips, eggs, & sometimes the chicken. If you like fried eggs for breakfast then you're OK. Their allergy information was almost non existent. Ok if you had a gluten allergy as this was on most dishes, but nothing about dairy, seeds etc, which was important to us as one of the party has a Sesame allergy.||The bars were clean and tidy, but the language barrier was again a problem. My husband asked for 4 beers and got 4 Baileys! Although in a foreign country the soft drinks tasted off and local alcohol was not nice at all. The cocktails were something else. We didn't manage to find one that was palatable. Would have expected a 5 hotel to have a better choices. My husband fell over on a wet floor due to a drink spillage, the bar man didn't come to his aid or acknowledge that he had fell. Not one member of staff came to see if he was ok. It took over 15 minutes to clean this up, but no signage was put up to warn other guests of the spillage. When we raised this with guest services a day later, he didn't even ask if my husband was OK, luckily he was, just bruised.||On the last but one day, we were approached by a member of staff from Guest Services, again another service we didn't know existed. We mentioned all the above|to him, and although he said that English was his second language he didn't comprehend some of what we were saying. He couldn't understand that we weren't informed of his service. He gave us what turned out to be lip service and empty promises of a late checkout and a potential booking at the A La Carte. He said he would get back to us following discussions with his manager but never did. ||We managed to have an enjoyable holiday with family, but this was due to us making it so, not due to the hotel facilities or staff. The hotel is in need of an update both internally and externally . Although the food was adequate it needs review.||We would definitely not recommend this hotel for English guests mainly due to the...
Read moreStaff attentive and helpful but a little culturally ignorant. For context, we are south asian ethnically but have lived in the UK for more than a decade. We were constantly asked where we were from in the first two days and when I’d say the UK they would be very disbelieving until I gave up and started saying our ethnic origins. |Food hit or miss, breakfast was always great, lunch and dinner not so much, you have to hunt for the good stuff. But free drinks! Even alcohol which was great. |Resort maintained very well. Both swimming pools are lovely. You can buy floaties at the resort. |The resort has lots of bars and cafes.|There are sports/games/group exercises available. Beach volleyball, exercise in the sea, darts at one of the bars etc. |The beach is the best part, the garden path to the beach is beautiful and the beach itself is clean and sandy. The sea is stunning and so soothing in the hot sun. There are lifeguards around, a beach bar nearby to get drinks and snacks at and beach beds to sunbathe in. There are areas in the shade as well as the sun. |There are water sports available to do for a price. |The animator team (aka the entertainment team) were friendly and fun. They put on great shows, live music, dancing etc.|The rooms were cleaned everyday, and had AC. Towels are offered as well as other amenities like shower gel etc. |Beach Towels need to be taken from the spa and returned by 7pm each day. |There was a pianist who played in the lobby everyday at designated times, he played every well. |There is an African Grey Parrot in the lobby - he seemed well looked after but a little plaque with information on him would’ve been nice to know his name, how he was looked after and what species of bird he is etc. there were other birds also found on the resort grounds.|Overall a great experience deserving of its 5...
Read moreJust arrived back home from a two weeks vacation at this hotel with my family (kids 12 and 7). It was our first stay in turkey and it was a great experience! The comment from Sandra Pepichova which seems to stay there at the same time as we did is just wrong! The place was nice and clean. My experience was the staff worked very hard to keep everything clean, because some guys just turn into dirty slobs as soon as they are on vacation and the just drop every waste because they think the hotel staff are their personal servants. Sometimes i really feel ashamed if i see other behavior, but thats another story! Back to the hotel!
Two pools, very clean. Several waterslides for very smal kids up to adults. A very nice garden which makes the little walk (5 min if you walk very slow) to the beach enjoyable. They don't take any fee for towels and non for the beach chairs and sunshade. The beach is very nice and they also have a bar at the beach where you get drinks and food. Lets talk about the food from 07:00 am to 00:30 am there is always something you can eat. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, ice cream, cake, dinner, midnight dinner just take care not to gain too much wight there because the food is great! They serve turkish food and not international food which we liked very much. Of course there is always spaghetti or something even small childs like and the always also have bbq at lunch and dinner. Guests are very international, especially German and Russians but also Slovaks, Poles and Czechs. There are also some Turks there, which says a lot, because if someone spends their holidays in their own country, then certainly not in a bad hotel with bad kitchen!
As negative as we have found that shampoo and soap was not refilled by the room service, we had to ask to refill them. I would advise everyone to bring these...
