Fidan Hotel — Hotel in Marmaris

Arrived at the Fidan not our choice all due to Love Holidays hotel providers going bust, but on arrival we were taking to our room which was an attic room it was fine no complaints air con in bedroom & kitchen area .||The pool is very small but never busy so loungers were always available, the pool bar men were very nice..||We ate breakfast a few times and was nice, until we had dinner and I ordered Chicken with Garlic on 1st bite I noticed the chicken was raw, asked the waiter to take it away, he came back and asked if I wanted it well done seriously I said no, then came back asked if I wanted something else and I said yes please lasagne...after our meal we went to pay our bill and noticed that the chicken meal was still on our bill my husband took this up with INGRAD who sits there all day /night taking the bill payments, we challenge why the chicken meal was still on our bill Her Reply was the chicken was OK, she said she tried it then on us challenging her she said I never looked at it make your mind up INGRAD she was the most rude woman I've ever came across , told me if I put a bad review she would not remove the chicken meal from our bill I just laughed. ||The maids are lovely but room needs to be cleaned as in mop floors that was never done I had to ask, only bad thing I could say and never removed any rubbish bags from the room. ||On eve before leaving we asked if we could keep our room on and and the reception girl quoted us 40 without a smile dour face bugger same face every day , so we left it and approached the evening staff who quoted us £30 what a laugh but we were happy with that. .|||.can I just say we have been coming to marmaris fir 20yrs and have never had...

We stayed for a week commencing last Saturday, upon arrival the room was filthy , the floors hadn’t been cleaned, there was poo on the wall in the bathroom and the balcony floor was sticky and dirty. We immediately asked reception to have the room cleaned who advised they would whilst we were out. When we returned the room it was still dirty and not touched. We had to go to the local supermarket and buy our own cleaning supplies and sanitised the room. There was a filthy cot pushed up against the bed and the mattress was dirty/broken |By Thursday we noticed our bed sheets had not been changed in 3/4 days and were covered in stains. When we requested for these to be changed, stained bedding was put back onto the bed|When we again had to go to reception and advise the room hadn’t been cleaned, they told us they were still waiting on our air conditioning payment, which they had asked for in cash which is why we hadn’t paid it yet. When asked if we could pay card as we don’t carry cash she was very reluctant. She agreed to let us pay via card but only with an additional service charge, even though 2 of our guests are Turkish residents and have Turkish bank cards so there was no transaction fee. |The hotel has a great location and we were looking forward to staying however the lack of hygiene and attitude of some of the staff means I would not stay again|They had also sent a member of staff to inspect our room along with 2 of the cleaners who seemed to think the state of the room was quite funny and commented that the cleaners just don’t like doing their job, which seemed like...

Ok, I've read some of the previous reviews, and yeah, the rooms aren't 5star (maybe 2/3star), but you're not paying 5star prices either!! If anyone had taken the time to speak with the staff, they'd know that they are in the timely and expensive process of updating their hotel rooms and apartments. Very reasonable prices, for reasonable rooms. We spent most days out and about in the local area, by the beach (beach was only a 6minute walk from hotel) at the hotel pool (pool was immaculate), or on day trips, and was happy enough to have somewhere to lay our heads at the end of each day. Every single hotel staff member we had any interaction with, we're absolutely lovely, kind, helpful, engaging, and some even became friends. The restaurant served excellent meals (although fairly big portions lol), and had a few really great themed nights with fantastic entertainment provided. We had many nights laughing so much with the very friendly and welcoming staff that we'd stay til the small hours. I can't wait to go back, see all the staff and see how the upgrades are going.
