Just returned from a two week stay at the Moni hotel once again. I visit Marmaris to see my dentist, and I would never stay anywhere else other than this family run hotel. |Very quiet location, 5 minute walk to all the shops, and one more minute to the beach front packed with restaurants. 10 mins lazy walk to Marmaris harbour where you can book your boat trips etc with massive shopping areas. |Rooms are basic yes, but who wants to stay in there other than to sleep! They are cleaned every day, new sheets and towels. |Turkish breakfast included which for me, is a healthy one. For the English who crave the odd 'Full English', take a wander down to Smileys whose menu is 100% English meals. Nice little place at reasonable prices. |The pool is spotless and the loungers are new and comfy. |The menu they offer (at any time of the day and evening) is always good and again, reasonable prices. |The staff are attentive to your needs far beyond what is ever expected. Mehmet is the 'Jack of all trades' at the hotel friendly and helpful. |I feel safe, welcomed, and part of the family when I'm there by Elif and Oz. If you are a solo traveler, this is the place to be. And can't wait to return...
Read moreThe hotel is amazingly cozy, with the most hospitable staff who want to take care about you and are ready to help. The rooms are cleaned every day, and they change towels daily too. Everything's impeccably clean and the sheets are snow white. Breakfast is fresh and delicious and even though it is pretty much the same every day, there is always something new. The hotel is very close to everything, with a Carrefour supermarket just a couple of minutes away on foot. The pool is very clean and beautiful. The hotel has a restaurant where the prices are twice as low as in the city, and the food is delicious. Highly recommended.
Booking says that the hotel has a private beach but it is not true. It has an agreement with a local bar where you can pay for a drink and stay as much as you like. But then every other private beach in Marmaris works like this, and there are other ones which offer better service and don't set a limit you have to pay for drinks per person a day, so I wouldn't recommend going there (we chose Cork Inn instead).
If it were for me, I'd forbid smoking in public areas at mealtimes. Frankly,...
Read moreAn original cozy hotel with friendly and helpful personnel, lovely comfortable rooms, exquisite reception hall with a touch of marine style and delicious solid breakfasts served in the charming dining area around the pool. I've enjoyed every moment of staying there feeling special, important and dear to every member of the attentive hotel staff. At breakfast time or late at night I was always sure to be greeted, served and helped by cheerful friendly Ferhat at the reception. I will always remember the loving and hospitable hotel atmosphere originally created and now maintained by the daily routine surveillance of a highly admirable, truly positive, most attentive and simply very attractive woman - Elif, the owner of the place. The location of this fine hotel is superb and especially convenient in my opinion. It takes you no more than 5 minutes to get to the seafront to go swimming , while a 10 minute walk along the most picturesque seafront will bring you to the heart of the...
