Akra V — Hotel in Muratpaşa

Pros: Check inn, reception good. Area nice closer to everything. Akra V needs completely update in rooms/facilities as Akra Hotel main building, but still OK. Food variety and quality are good at Panora Restaurant where hotel serves breakfast and dinner. |Cons: As a Dog friendly hotel, the first day couldn't sleep all night, because below floor a dog barked, maked voices all night till morning. This policy disturbes all other guests, pets should be not allowed. Next day, asked to change my room to another side of the building, where pets are not allowed. ||Breakfast hall at Panora Restaurant at main Akra Building is a totally chaotic place. Couldn't find 10 minutes any single clean table for sitting, asking several staff to clean a table but all says they are busy! Stayed in total 5 days, each day same regardless of the time l arrived. Coffee/tea/water service at all under control of service staff so you cannot take by yourself. However, they don't even ask or bring you tea/cofee/water, you should ask several times to several staff. All behaves they are so busy and will bring later! So, I was going to bar area and bringing my own coffee/tea because no staff is not available for serving.|Please return to old system and allow guests to get their own coffee/tea from the common area as they are getting their food. |Asmani restaurant at top floor of Akra Hotel over priced, menu is so strange and food is not tasty at all. We ordered several things to try and paid more than 200$ and left with no taste. Dissatisfied, never ever Asmani Restaurant again! Pablito also we had similar experience, prices relatively cheaper than Asmani but tastes are awful. Both were better before, but something has been changed in a bad way. ||Wifi of Akra V guest, is not available in Panora Restaurant and also most part of the main building, including pools, etc. It is not required a rocket science, please make wifi work everywhere perfectly for all your guests. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone! The reception staff are so rude, not welcoming at all. The rooms are not 4 star, the flooring has worn out and is very unpleasant to walk on, the bathroom tiles were full of marks, balcony furniture is disgusting. Its really not worth the money, we paid nearly £1000 just for 5 nights bed and breakfast which is a lot of money and to have such a bad experience its such a shame. Before we came to this hotel we had stayed in a 3 star hotel in Istanbul, we had a better stay there, there room was so clean! The staff were amazing!

DO NOT BOOK WITH AKRA V HOTEL, IF ANYTHING BOOK ‘AKRA HOTEL’ they are so much more welcoming and so friendly!!!!! Regret not upgrading to Akra instead even if we had to pay extra at least we would’ve been satisfied! During my stay at Akra V , someone had entered our room whilst on ‘do not disturb’ which is really not nice. They had also ignored the matter at first until we brought it up again and they had said no one entered they checked the CCTV which is a total LIE as they have no CCTV On the same corridor as our room. Even after this we would have accepted maybe it was an accident someone had entered our room and placed fresh tea bags n drinks but the fact that AKRA V staff were NOT apologetic at all it was really upsetting. Also the day we left the man at the reception did not once thank us for our stay or apologised or even said bye to us, we dealt and spoke so nicely regarding these issues we had but were treated very unpleasantly by the staff. Younger staff were very helpful, its the older men that acted very rudely with us.

First time in turkey and this hotel really let us down, i hope these matters get resolved or else you will really lose and upset a lot...

This is not a 4-star hotel, I wouldn't even give it 3 stars! I booked 2 rooms for 7 nights for the New Year. 1 Suite and 1 Deluxe Room. Their definition of the suite is different than Americans! The only difference between a suite and a deluxe room is that in a suite, you have a private balcony, that's it! The rooms are old and outdated. It smells like cigarettes everywhere, even in the hallways and inside the rooms. One of our rooms was dusty and trash was left out when we first arrived and we had to ask for housekeeping right away. There was a fan in the suite that would go off every 10 minutes and it was very disturbing. They have this thing that they would give you a coupon worth 50 TRL per day that you don't receive housekeeping. Do not fall for it! It's impossible to use that money! We had 400 TRL and I asked 3 different staff on where to use them and I received 3 completely different answers! I just gave up on using the coupons. The staff barely speaks English and it's very hard to communicate with them. There are no amenities in Akra V, not even a restaurant. You have to go across the street to the Akra hotel to access all amenities which are very nice and clean. There are also a couple of good restaurants at Akra that we...
