Port Nature Luxury Resort Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Serik

We have been to Turkey on vacation for several times and this has got to be the worst experience so far. What we got was no five star experience. The building itself and the pools are good enough, although some of the chairs in lower part were a bit worn/dirty as well as kids minidisco. Rooms appear to have thin walls so you can hear a lot from the outside as well as from other guests (this might be also due to the loud guests that we were unfortunate to have). The entertainment stage had no chairs. All other hotels have a decent amphitheater. There were a lot of flies in buffet at times. All this was still was bad but a minor inconvenience as the overall amenities were ok.

Here comes the real issues.

•First, the loud music. Nonstop loud music near kids pools. Wait, it gets worse. During animation times, it gets louder. The first day we arrived we found spots near kids pools and we were driven crazy by the noise. We ended up spending our vacation as far away from kids pools as possible - with two kids. I complained about the no chairs in the entertainment stage, but the worst part was the loud noise. It should have been illegal in a hotel where practically all the guests were with kids.

•Second, no one spoke english and were constantly speaking to us in Russian. As I said, we have been to other hotels in Antalya, and not all the personnel were perfect english speakers, but they always had someone at hand who could speak english good enough. Here, you will struggle. Mi kids did not want to go to mini-club because no one could talk to them, and they love mini-club.

•Prices change based on your language. We met a bilingual family and they told us that they get quoted one price if they spoke Russian and another more pricy when they spoke English. We tested this at hair salon. Out daughter was quoted 60euros for a hairstyle when we asked in English. After couple of days, we sent her with our friend who spoke Russian and the price was 55euros.

•Some staff, especially those that appeared non-turkish (recognized based on name-tags) were bordering on rude behavior. They gave quick and short answers and disappeared even quicker without having chance to even explain what we wanted in the first place. Perhaps it was a language barrier, but that does not excuse their “buzz-off” attitude. Even guest relations office was the same. I went there to ask for a charger (forgot my kindle charger), and the girl at the computer just gave me a rude “No” and continued looking at her monitor. I was about to complain to them first before I wrote this review, but after that quick interaction it was clear that there is a pattern of behavior there.

• No consistency in service. We tried all the cafeterias, clubs and restaurants. The only consistency was that the same drink was always mixed differently each time we asked for it. For instance, ice-coffee, mojitos etc. The served drinks could be extremely warm at times, and you had to explicitly ask for cold drinks or a glass with ice.

• There are three a-la-cart restaurant at one corner. Italian, French and Asian. We were told they all jave the same menu, it just that the decorations are different. Whats up with that?

• One day there was no hot water. It was lukewarm at best. I know it is summer and it should not be an issue, but this is a 5 star hotel!

There were some more issues there, but i do not want to spend more energy on this, and those issues were more related to the guests than the hotel itself, even-though the hotel seams to be targeting said guests. Sufficing to say, I do not recommend this hotel. It looks like a 5 star hotel, but it does not provide 5...

This is definitely one of my favorite hotels in Turkey. I've been there twice last year and i am booking again this May for my birthday. I went with my 2 children, and met up with my Mom and her girl friend. ||There are few things that i find exceptionally great about this hotel, that keep me coming back here for vacation every year: ||1. I am a Taurus, so tasty food is extremely important to me, plus i am a very picky eater, so are my children. But here each one of us finds great food to eat! This hotel has A la carte restaurants, that are available all day! I favor fish and seafood, and here they are present at each meal. My favorite seafood is at the beach restaurant, they are opened for lunch and dinner and offer salmon, fish and chips and honestly what not, but everything is fresh and tasty. In other hotels you have to pick a day, see if the restaurant is available and only then can eat there, and here you can go dine A la carte for every meal! That's awesome! They also have few other restaurants. My kids love pasta and sushi. Also there is a night restaurant if you have a late flight for example, you will not go hungry||2. What matters to me is that people - staff in this hotel are extremely nice and polite, starting with bartenders and reception and even shop owners and photographers! They are all very nice and make you feel like a part of vacation family here :) ||3. I love that this hotel has a special security - bodyguards in the evening. This is so important to me being a young woman and travelling alone with my children, i always feel safe and protected, even when some drunk people approaching, the bodyguards always make sure you're ok ||4. It's awesome, that this hotel has concerts! My mom absolutely loves all the singers, who we were able to see in concert and honestly even when i've been to some top hotels, they never invited stars of such caliber, just regular animation. So that's really a great deal, when you pay for hotel and attend a concert at the same time with no extra cost||5. The rooms are always nice and clean and have everything you may need. Guys at reception always make sure you get the room you want and last time we didn't like the first room that we were given, so after few discussions, they granted us a much nicer room that my kids loved. Hoping everthing goes well this time as well :)||I could name many more great things about this hotel : brand alcohol, ice cream all day, exceptional coffee, minibar, but this would be too long and the above are my favorite things, that keep me coming back again...
