First, I'd like to start this review by noting, it was gorgeous place - straight out of a lifestyle magazine. (Minus all of the thick seaweed.) We had friends staying there for nine days. (It's a small fortune for a few nights $$$) Unfortunately, things turned very sour with the owners of the property at the end of everyone's trip. This place is next to the public beach access point, a place that many of the other kitesurfers use to go out to Long Bay Beach. We set up our gear and kited from there. Later, we were invited by our friends (who were staying at H20) to join them on several occasions to hangout on the property. This was approved by the owners of the property. We met the owners and they were friendly and welcoming. We were told that the bar that sits on the property is open to public, this is true and advertised, (keep this in mind). During a sunset kiting session, I had gotten hurt on the water. The two owners and their manager rushed down to check it out and make sure I was okay. I was taken to the ER later and put into a knee brace for a torn ACL. Since my husband could still surf, we went back two days after and bought drinks at the public bar, and I took a seat to watch him. As I got up, I walked past the hot tub were he, his wife, and two daughters were after a day of jetskiing. I waved to them and walked over, intending to thank them for helping me the night I got hurt. Before I could even say hello, the wife frowning says, "Are you staying here now?". The husband continues to tell me that we are not welcome there and how the guests who are staying at H20 complain about people like us. (We bought drinks and sat at a table, no disrupting of anyone's peace.) Confused, I told them I had gotten a drink at the bar ($15 rum punch, mind you) and was watching my husband kite. (Remember, this bar is open to the public.) I apologized, and told them we'd leave after he came in for a break. I've never had an encounter that took me so off guard. It immediately showed me where their heads were at with guests, and their money. Later, we found out that our friends had to dispute charges that were made to their room for meals that they hadn't ordered and added gratuity where gracious tips were already made to servers. Several occasions, as kind as the some server were, would make guests wait 20-30 mins for service because they were helping the cooks prep(?). People left. My husband went back to the Public Beach Access at Long Bay Beach, and caught the owner pointing fingers at him to another employee, as a way to say, make sure he doesn't get near the property. To conclude this review, being treated the way we all were, while we were all respectful visitors, it is not worth it - from the prices of the rooms to the distasteful attitudes of the owners. I'd advise you to stay towards Kite Provo Kiteboarding School just small walk in the other direction on Long Bay Beach. We went there for our last two days. Honestly, the whole atmosphere changes on that side. Awesome & interesting people down there, and yes, there's a bar with the same rum punch for far less. Genuinely friendly and happy individuals. Remember, a little...
Read moreWhat a gem! My family of four just returned from the most beautiful five days/nights at H2O - me, my husband, and our son (age 20) and daughter (14). The two bedroom suite was spacious and pristine - it was beyond clean with beautiful furnishings. And the most comfy and inviting beds! The kitchen was stocked with everything you need - from a coffee maker (with fresh local coffee grounds) to a toaster, and pots and pans to cook whatever you’d like. The groceries and drinks we ordered ahead of time (with the help of the hotel) were put away in our kitchen before we arrived. The terrace looked out to the hotel’s perfectly manicured grounds and the most peaceful pool that we never wanted to come out of, with the ocean in the background. We were met on a rainy day by the most lovely people who work at H2O. After a complimentary drink at the bar, our room was ready early. Over the next five days the people at H2O attended to every request quickly and with a smile. Complimentary breakfast by the pool was perfect - fresh fruit and pastries, yogurt, waffles, and espresso, coffee, juice etc. The hotel is quiet but not boring - there’s a pickleball court, great gym, paddle boards and kayaks, jet skis etc, yoga in the early mornings, and we spent endless hours in the gorgeous calm water watching the beautiful kite surfers. The staff hooked us up with a taxi service (thank you Jose!) who took us to and from dinner every night around the island. There is no restaurant at the hotel but it didn’t matter to us at all. We ordered lunch from the Swift Eats app (as recommended by the hotel) and it was perfect. The Shore Club hotel is a short walk down the beach and has a few restaurants too. The staff at H2O made everything easy. We can’t wait to return! Thank you to Adrienne and all the wonderful people who...
Read moreH2O is incredible, from start to finish. Away from overcrowded Grace Bay, H2O is brand new and absolutely stunning. The value is unbeatable in Turks & Caicos, and our expectations were surpassed in every way. H2O is located on the beautiful Long Bay beach with electric blue water and lots of kitesurfing and water sports. While the beach is windier than others, its a nice warm island breeze. The units have all top of the line appliances, tons of space, truly felt like more of a home than a hotel room. They provide everything you need to cook or grill (they have an outdoor grill station), glassware, utensils, cutting boards, built in tap-water filter etc. We grilled one night and it was great - honestly would recommend taking a break from the restaurants and staying in to cook and eat outside on your balcony one night if you stay here - balconies are huge and have lounge chairs/tables. Also have laundry and detergent supplies. The property is beautifully landscaped too. They have two Tesla house cars and solar panels are on each rooftop - I was thrilled to see a property hold sustainability in its ethos like this. Great gym, tennis and basketball courts. Great bar - LEO AND MARIO ARE AMAZING (so were the berry coladas). They also have tons of super cool water sports equipment. Nishonda was also incredible and so so helpful during our stay. The event on the Building A roof looked exciting too, I think it was a test-run but I think that would be awesome to do frequently. Bottom line: I work in a high-end hotel at home and this place is doing everything right - I cannot recommend this place enough if you are coming to...
