Entebbe Flight Motel — Hotel in Entebbe City

I stayed at the Flight Motel for one night at the beginning of a trip, then two nights on the way back. I've stayed in the Flight Motel on various occasions since 1999. It has slowly been developing and expanding and it looks like a large part of the motel is still to be commissioned. Booking is straightforward and you can pay in US dollars or Ugandan schillings. I paid $40 (£31) per night for a single occupancy room. The room was pleasant and everything worked, including the TV and Wi-Fi. The cleaning was to a good standard. The breakfast is bizarre, lots of bread / cake items but no butter! In contrast, the lunchtime and evening buffets were really good and a welcome opportunity to eat different types of Ugandan food.||||The staff were friendly and helpful and this led to a relaxed environment.||||The only downside is the noise. The flight motel has people checking in and checking out throughout the day and night, this led to a lot of noise overnight from people chatting, luggage being wheeled etc. The gate-guard had his radio on all night and it must have been loud because I could hear it clearly! The airport shuttle leaves the Flight Motel every two hours and is fairly loud in the early hours.||||I like the changes that are happening to the Flight motel and its in a great location that makes it easy to walk into town. My husband and me paid 50dollars for a double room and this is what we got||||Room dirty, not ready for the next guest||||Only one towel in the room and was dump||||A pair of shoes from previous guest in the wardrobe||||No hangers in the wardrobe||||The shower was a hole in the floor that can't swallow all the water ( we had a big swimming pool inside the bathroom)||||When we complained the staff just apologised and brought another pair of towels. We asked then to talk to the manager and they wanted to prevent us from talking to him.||When at the end we found him, he just apologised and shrank into himself but didn't offer any solution or intention of solving the problem. Totally unacceptable ||||We went to have dinner to the hotel buffet and couldn't buy our drinks because the waitress at the bar was completely dissappeared. Staff and customer at the restaurant were rude with us for no reason, making us feeling unconfortable.||||We didn't deserve that service for the...

The place seams calm but it's not the fact. The bar wouldn't be inside and open. The orientation is not enough at the reception on arrival. The rooms are good and clean but room 409 has a non functioning ventilator therefore I had to keep the window open even at night. The last is out of the management power is access to certain radio stations for information is impossible while at Flight Motel and Entebbe i think.
