Hibis Hotel — Hotel in Entebbe City

Staff was pleasant , however booking information was misleading. There is no restaurant, there is no bar, just a cabinet. We asked for bottled water the first night and received it. The second night they said they had none and we paid someone to go out to get it. Their write up made it sound like each room had a balcony, however, there is a communal balcony that comes off a communal room with very worn, old couches & worn patio furniture. Airport shuttle is a guy they call up and you negotiate price. They don't take credit cards. Had a wonderful weekend at Hibis. Beautiful location conveniently located on the shores of Lake Victoria. Staff just cannot do enough to make your stay more positive. Ummh, has a few issues. Mosquitoes in rooms. Bathrooms very tinny. Service quite substandard, narrow stairs, breakfast really lousy and a big disappointment (no blue band, no coffee, one tea bag per person, no sweet bananas - in Uganda, the largest producer and exporter of sweet and green bananas in Africa!, etc), and most of all, an inept and cold management!
