About 2 years ago, I stumbled upon this cozy coffee shop and I am absolutely glad I did! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and a charming vibes from the staff. But what really impressed me at Gorilla conservation cafe was the coffee itself, with a very rich tropical gorilla scent, flavorful, and having worked in a coffee shop myself for more than 5 years, I must say that the coffee was expertly brewed, and surely I must acknowledge that the barista was knowledgeable and friendly, happy to offer recommendations or customize your drink to your taste. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just need a quick pick-me-up, Gorilla Conservation through public health (CTPH ) together with Gorilla Conservation coffee (GCC) is a must-visit once you have 30 minutes in Entebbe while waiting for your flight or just a chill out. I will always recommend and stop over for my daily dose of caffeine and cheer! #SavingGorillasOneSipAttime!

Call it objective, call it biased, but I love the Gorilla Conservation group. It is certainly skewed by my love for their work in Bwindi, by my love for their basecamp accommodation and staff, and their important work. However, their bean to cup coffee is among the best in Uganda. They pay premium price to coffee farmers to help protect the gorillas by incentivizing this kind of farming. This includes excellent ICED COFFEE that is shaken and not watered down. Their juice and mocktails are excellent. If you need a snack give their banana bread a go.

I can’t say enough about my experience at Gorilla Conservation Cafe: friendly staff, superb coffee and an impressive cause - “Conservation Through Public Health promotes biodiversity conservation by enabling people, gorillas and livestock to coexist through improving their health and livelihoods in and around Africa’s protected areas.” Thanks again for your hospitality.

I came to this cafe to try the coffee and purchase some coffee as a gift for my mother who loves gorillas. I was so happy we came and the mission to help gorillas and purchase a bag of coffee made by the communities near the gorillas in Bwindi (the way I want to spend my money in Uganda!) The book by Dr Gladys is for sale with autographs and it is fascinating, as I have been reading it. There is also an awesome children’s book about zoos by her son for sale there as well! I didn’t get a chance to try the food but they have a nice menu. We enjoyed our coffee outside in a quiet courtyard. Credit cards...
