Papyrus Guest House — Hotel in Entebbe City

Edward or his Ugandan name tugume and Patrick or Gift are some of the most lovely people I’ve met in Uganda and everybody in Uganda is lovely. The first round of margaritas was fantastic and made by Edward the second round of margaritas, of course was even better cause we were already feeling the first one.lol and it was made by Patrick. Edward was so genuinely happy there didn’t seem to be a bone in his body that wasn’t sincere. The same was true for Patrick. The lodge itself right in the heart of Entebbe where you can come here straight from the airport is still secluded and you feel as though you’re in the jungle.The price of the surprising affordable. I would think they could charge double as the manes activities are really good. I’ve stayed at some very fancy resorts in Uganda as well and I appreciate it the food more at those resorts than I did here. We arrived v v late and everyone was so accommodating and kind - our room was perfect a great temperature nets to keep mosquitos away and a spacious beautiful setting the sounds of the birds - the trees - a very special place. However what makes this place is the people. We arrived to an extremely lovely friendly helpful Edward knowledgable and kind. We met Gift at breakfast who we spent the morning with seeing Entebbe and he was a truly lovely fun friendly man who made our day in Entebbe. The management was rude. The rooms don't have wifi or ac. We ordered dinner for 7 but we got to our table and the meal was not brought out till 735. No one got us drinks. I asked for rice and fries and The management jumped one saying you only get . The turn down service asked for my key. I told them it was open. They took the room key with them from the room and locked the door. There are only 2 power outlets in the room. The plugs are loose. T is so hot and misable. There was construction all around.
