November 2018 - Room 1209 - executive room Definitely, on its way to 5 star rating Pros Bed is massive Lovely room Thanks to staff member Ivan for welcoming me so well Lovely big window in bathroom Room had kitchenette, which can be so useful Gym is better than some gym only centres i have been to before. Spacious, quality equipment and organising of room. Additional spin, or class room too. Lovely staff on reception (Ivan and Christine) and around hotel. Always smiling and willing to help. All (or most) spoke English, thank you for this. When you travel you should try learn as much of the visiting country’s language but when you don’t I am glad when they speak English. Good lighting in bathroom Cons Security were a bit intimidating, but this may be because I cam really late at night. And more importantly it is kind of their job, to ensure they protect the complex by any means. Maybe have a hotel staff member based at the gate too, in order have a more friendly welcoming presence. Had a bit of slow start due to the computer not working for room access, however Ivan handled this well. Some staff were a bit rude and awkward, which may just be how things are. Because in UK, America etc they are really focused on that “Disney Land happy service” lol (if you know, you know). When showering water does ho underneath the glass door TV was playing up a bit, like not Breakfast mot included in standard price. Also, i asked for bacon they gave me bacon and random boneless meat pieces lol No wifi connection in the bathroom (not a issue for most, but it would be nice) Weird i was not allowed to take photos on my camera, manager Godfrey said they have a strict policy. Why is this! Then right at the end I saw someone with a large Canon camera like mine, but he had a tripod. (Maybe he was their official photography).

A beautiful, upmarket hotel in the heart of Kampala. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Gadaff, who received me at check in and took me on a tour of the facilities. The executive suites are modern, clean and can accommodate any business traveller comfortably. Each room comes with a work desk and fully equipped kitchen with SMEG appliances. There is a gorgeous pool, gym, spa and sauna. And numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. The only suggestions I have is that each room be equipped with menus for room service options and a list of numbers. I always had to call reception to route my calls to the relevant desk. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my colleagues and friends.

A deluxe place "steps away" from the town centre , A Mediterranean touch by view located on Nsambya hill, spacious rooms and apartments for residence, Elegant suites for all tiers, there's a swimming pool, cocktail places, A great bar and restaurant with professionally prepared dishes to international standards, great customer service, fast wifi is available , hot tubs, Well furnished self contained apartments ,ample parking space accessible by all kinds of people, The road to the Hotel is well constructed up to entrance and the lead way looks amazing with flowers gardens on both sides, creeping plants on the perimeter walls are also a beauty worth looking at. Mestil is Beautiful! 😚

I travel to Kampala at least once a month for business and have stayed in almost every 4- and 5-star hotel in the city. That changed when I discovered Mestil Hotel. Since then, I’ve stayed here more than 15 times, and I can confidently say I won’t be switching to any other place.||Mestil is more than a hotel; it feels like a private compound, offering both rooms and spacious apartments. The apartments are large and thoughtfully designed, with options of one or two bedrooms. Each comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a dressing room, a living area with a dining table, and a beautiful terrace — giving you a true “home away from home” experience.||What makes Mestil truly exceptional is the people. I’ve come to know many of the staff, and every single one of them goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. From reception and front desk, to the waiters, housekeeping, and drivers — they are always there to help and ensure you’re taken care of. The moment you enter the gate, the noise of the city disappears, replaced by a calm, welcoming atmosphere.||A special thank you to Anne & Chris at the front desk, Nelly, Mr. Chambers & Abdul Malik from the drivers’ team, and Stella from the spa. You all deliver 7-star service every time. You’ve never let me down, and you always make me feel like I’m not just a guest, but family.||Thank you, Mestil Hotel, for being my home...
