In summary: Is it a good hotel, definitely yes. Can you book it, definitely yes. But, it is massively overpriced, could easily be branded as Marriott or Le Meridien, Still occupancy seems quite high, so obviously Mr free market making the price. In my view you pay for the location, definitely best beach in all UAE. If you do not use the beach everyday, save your money and go rather for St Regis Abu Dhabi. You will get the more exclusive St...
Read moreThe St Regis Saadiyat is one of our best hotels we have stayed at - and this is me saying this for the 3rd time. Our only regret is we didn't stay long enough (was a short stay for 2 nights). If you want a breath taking luxury experience then you definitely have to stay at this hotel. All the staff here are like our family and they treat us like we are coming home. No request is ever turned down, be it a dietary requirement or something for your kids. Its an honor to be part of the St Regis Saadiyat family and to always be remembered Even though every staff plays a part in making this hotel one of the best, i've highlighted those that stood out to us. I hope management can reward and appreciate the great level of service that they provided ||Aftab - our experience started way before we even checked in. Prior to our stay i emailed him letting him know we are coming to stay and he completely went out of his way to ensure our stay would be memorable as the first and second. Even though he was on holiday on our check in he made sure everything was sorted for us (this shows how much the st regis family go out of their way). A great level of service to those are not even guests yet. Literally like our older brother.||Lalit - our personal head chef at the restaurant. Him and his team (below) Made us the most amazing custom dishes for our vegetarian diet. Masala chip naan, maru bhujyas, chilli paneer wraps, chilli paneer and fresh naan. Literally he waits on hand for our food requests and always does with a smile. Its not a surprise that he heads the chefs.||Khalila, ôm, Prakash, Hassan, Ali, Roshan , Brijesh - No head chef team is complete without the chefs beneath. These all made sure that we got the best dishes that we requested to Lalit.||Brandon - was really helpful in contacting our next hotel partner in Dubai to ensure that stay would be memorable as the one we experience at St Regis. Always willing to go beyond to help in anyway. ||Waseem - the restaurant manager remembered us from our last stay and gave the greeting. "Welcome Home, this is your home and let us know how we can help". He really runs the whole restaurant impeccably. Always asking us is everything okay with our stay. ||Fariz, Sai and Narayan - made sure our room was cleaned twice a day and left it spotless. Usually the cleaning staff go unnoticed so wanted to give them a special mention that their service definitely doesn't go unnoticed. ||Sujan (chef) - made us the best avocado on toast with feta. We had it literally every morning and he always made it the same. ||Omprakash (chef) - made us a great chilli cheese naan to go with our chilli paneer. ||Amir, Sameh and Oshen (Adult pool bar staff) gave us really good service and were always willing to ask if we needed anything. Made us some amazing treats. ||Abdul Raman (Waiter) - it was a delight that he remembered us from our last stay and was always helping to clean our table||Sarita, Abrar and Ulbika (butler team) - ensured that no request in regards to our room was turned down. Anything that we wanted they were always willing to provide. ||It is with great sadness that we don't when our next stay will be at the St Regis Saadiyat but i hope it is in the near future. We will definitely be back for our...
Read moreStayed at the St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi. The place is a disaster. Not even close to St Regis class and standard. 1. We waited 90minutes at check in for our room even though we called in advanced and confirmed our room would be ready by 3PM, we were in the room 4:30PM. 2. Wanted to get coffee while waiting but had hard time to find a clean lounge area to sit. All the carpets are full of stains in the lobby area. Curtains are shrunk. It’s a mess! 3. We were offered a late lunch at the “buffet”which was wilted salad and leftovers. We didn’t even bother eating. 4. Finally we were upgraded to a suite and even that didn’t do it. When we arrived to the room, the bathroom still had * hair and urinary on the floor. Immediately called for cleaning services and had to use public restroom until it was cleaned properly. 5. People were complaining left and right by the pool. Everybody was asking for the manager. We waited 1hr and 15min for a panini, the couple next to us waited for a calamari appetizer for 45min. This is ridiculous! 6. Our first night we ordered room service. The sesame seeds spilled on the carpet stayed there during our whole stay. I took photos. And informed the management at the check out. Every morning I had to stare at them when I was doing my morning stretches. 7. While we were asleep, 10PM tuck in service walked into the room after one knock, we had to jump out of bed to stop them. 8. The steps on the adult pool were very slippery, multiple people had issues. Major liability if someone falls and hurts themselves. Which is highly possible in the very near future. My husband almost twisted his back. Lifeguards are aware of it but no one takes action to fix the issue. 9. At the peak breakfast hour the construction workers were dismantling Ramadan decorations and raised platform right in front of the guests. Loud noise, cables everywhere, construction debris, tons of plastic bottles thrown on the side by workers. 10. During our breakfast, table next door complained they were under direct sun. Our waiter literally took our umbrella and moved it to their side and tried to cover our table with another umbrella. But this time we were exposed. When I warned the staff the manager came in and apologized. What kind of hospitality culture openly values one customer more than the other. 11. This is the most expensive hotel after Rixos at this location and I can’t imagine why. Honestly I want my money back. This is at best a 3-4star hotel quality, max $300-400/night range. Ridiculous! Management has to do something about this hotel. These fees are not fair for this service. This operation is falling apart. Either they should lower the rates or fix the hotel asap. The service doesn’t match the price point.12. This hotel literally ruined my admiration towards the brand. Such a failure. 13. We still wait for someone from the hotel group to contact us to resolve our issue and a fair...
