Si Ristorante Italiano & Bar — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

We had a pretty bad experience at this restaurant. We sat outside and therefore were completely forgotten about. My partner went inside to ask if we could order after about 15 minutes of sitting with no one coming over. Still no one came. After about 25 minutes I went in and explained the situation to the manager, who didn’t really seem to care. Eventually someone came to take our order after about 30 minutes sweating in the September heat and humidity. The girl who came to take the order was pretty clueless about the menu which had zero vegan options on it. I asked if they could make me something simple like tomato pasta, and she told me that it would be chargeable (we were staying half board so a 3 course dinner was included for free). I was pretty amazed by this as there were many more expensive items on the HB menu like sea bass, risotto, veal etc. and I was being told I would have to pay extra for a basic tomato pasta which couldn’t be cheaper to make! Eventually she went away and discussed with the chef who (obviously) said they could make me pasta with literally any sauce I wanted. This whole interaction took so long that it was almost 40 minutes before we even got any water! The food when it eventually came was good but we were so frustrated with the whole experience we didn’t really feel like staying for dessert so asked for the panna cotta to take away. We still had to wait about 15 minutes for a pre-made dessert to be put in a box and almost gave up waiting and went back to the room. Very disorganised place and not great for anyone with dietary requirements. It was so good when I visited a few years ago but clearly has gone downhill like the rest...

Worst experience ever. Our booking was lost. Hostess didn’t want to give us table even though restaurant was half empty all evening. Eventually manager accepted that our booking was messed up and proposed us the table. Dishes arrived randomly and without any logic. No attention from the waiters. We changed the table and waiter brought our dirty glasses from the old table and just put them randomly. After this we asked to give clean glasses, dirty ones were not removed from the table and stayed with us till the end of the dinner. Big bottle of water was left on the old table and when I asked Italian waiter to bring it to us he was very rude and told that he has no idea where we were sitting and where is our water. Tone was really rude. To ask the bill we needed to take red table napkins and wave them so somebody would pay to us a bit of attention. Such attraction was appreciated by other clients because it was ridiculous ignorance from the side of the personnel. Everyone was laughing. Table was not cleaned and we were sitting surrounded by dirty dishes. So I definitely do not recommend to go here is you are more that 2 person. Bill paid: 2300 dirham. Food was ok. But the level of the service is very very low. Our evening with family and friends was ruined. We will definitely not recommend to our friends...

We visited this restaurant when we heard it is one of the best Italian restaurant. However, it was quite disappointing. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is not the place to visit. When we arrived for our reservation, there was no one at the entrance to greet us and seat us. We went in search for someone to assist us with the seating. When we were finally seated, they only provided the food menu and when inquired regarding the drinks, they just listed a couple of drinks they have. We had ordered pina colada and passion fruit mojito but they bought 2 mojito. When they got pina colada, it tasted a sugar overdosed pinapple juice with a tad of coconut milk. The calamari tasted average. The pizza and lasagna tasted bland and unseasoned. I noticed that the pizza wasn’t even made in a proper woodfire style. The most concerning part was the hygiene when we were observing the open kitchen. The head chef did not have any gloves and cap on and did not seem to careful how he was handling the food considering that he did not wear any gloves/cap.

Overall, this is the worst italian restaurant I have...
