I honestly did not want to write a review at first because I think I made my point clear while dining at the restaurant.
I must say that were 2 waiters there who were exceptional. Very attentive. And were trying to constantly fix the situation when it was honestly out of their hands. And I have personally told one of them “Gilbert” - that he exceeded my expectation with his attention and care to me and my mom.
The issue I had was mainly with the food and the first 2 waiters that came, one was completely clueless with the menu items, and the other refused to take the full order and take just the order of “mussels” and promised he would send someone else to take the rest, which didn’t happen. That was weird and very confusing because by that time we have been sitting for more than 20 minutes and I couldn’t get my order through.
That waiter never sent his colleague, and only then one notices that I was just looking around trying to get someones attention, and came to the rescue. I completely forgot his name, but him and Gilbert made the rest of the dining experience better.
However this review is for the Chef, and the restaurant manager. The food was extremely salty, I sent back 2 pots of mussels. And they were either cooked with salt , or have not been soaked in fresh water for long enough, or may have added some herbs that it made it more salty, or it may have been cooked in a small pot when they need bigger pots to expel the concentration of saltiness on the mussel itself. I am a sea food lover and I eat mussels all the time. I cook it myself too, never ever have I eaten such salty mussels.
Eventually, I told the waiter to just bring the main courses after 2 failed trials of mussels, and got the sea bream. I am not going to say more, but I couldn’t have more than a couple of bites and ate just fries.
Everything was tooo salty.
However, I didn’t complain about the sea bream at that point, and I just wanted to pay the bill and leave.
Gilbert came to take the plates, and I thanked him personally for his attentiveness and care, and I told him that these things happen all the time at restaurants. Sometimes people don’t get the best experience or end up not enjoying the food at a restaurant, and its okay. Sometimes its a bad day for the restaurant and the customer.
But what was not okay, that even with all the plates returned, the restaurant manager did not come to our table to ask about the plates or what could he do to make our experience better. Or say anything at all.
I must say Gilbert was doing the restaurant managers job, and that was completely unfair for him, for the hotel and the restaurant image.
I’d suggest having Gilbert as the restaurant manager, because he really was very attentive, very polite, and easy to communicate...

After already receiving three awards for their fantastic seafood, the fourth award is on the way – congratulations! All of this was part of an unforgettable evening. We were personally greeted by the restaurant manager, Carol, and escorted to our wonderful table. We were served by the always cheerful and friendly Thein – thank you. Karime took care of the excellent wines and drinks, and the lovely Nikita worked her magic behind the bar. Always attentive and ensuring our well-being was Arjun – overall a great team – and that’s what makes the difference compared to other good restaurants. Of course, we shouldn't forget the food. We had an amazing garden salad followed by a delicious red snapper. Along with the good wine, we enjoyed several fantastic Negronis.
