Review for Rayan Hotel, Sharjah + updated version ( for those who have patience to read )
I recently checked into Rayan Hotel with my husband and our newborn baby, and unfortunately, our experience has been far from satisfactory. We arrived at 2 PM, eager to settle into our room, but we quickly encountered several issues that left us feeling frustrated and disappointed.
First, we noticed that there were no towels in our room. When we requested four towels, we were informed by the reception that we were only allowed two. This was quite surprising, especially considering we are traveling with a baby. We also asked for bottled water and a junior bed, but as of 6 PM, we have yet to receive any of these essentials.
The situation worsened when we attempted to address our concerns at the reception. After returning to our room, we found that the key was not working due to a dead battery in the lock. We sought assistance from a staff member, who promised to help us by bringing a new key. However, he went downstairs and never returned, leaving us standing outside with our baby for about 10 minutes. When we went back to the reception to follow up, we found him casually removing chairs and seemingly indifferent to our predicament.
I have never encountered such unprofessionalism in any hotel before. It is incredibly disheartening, especially when you are traveling with a young child. To add to our disappointment, when the junior bed finally arrived, it was dirty and had burn holes in it. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel of any standard.
We paid 700 AED for two nights, and given the level of service and the condition of the amenities, I am seriously considering requesting a refund and checking out early. It’s a shame, as we had high hopes for our stay. I would not recommend Rayan Hotel based on this experience. —————
Update on My Recent Stay at Ryan Hotel
Today, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my recent experience at Ryan Hotel. Unfortunately, I couldn't fully enjoy my stay due to a few unforeseen circumstances. While the hotel itself has many commendable features, I encountered some challenges that impacted my overall experience.
We checked out a day earlier than planned and initially requested a half refund for our two-day stay. To our surprise, they refunded us the full amount of 700 Dirhams. The lady at the reception was incredibly helpful and genuinely wanted to ensure we were happy. While we were extremely unsatisfied with certain aspects of our stay, her efforts to accommodate us were truly appreciated.
That said, I believe the hotel has the potential to improve its customer service further. It would be beneficial for them to consider changing some staff members to ensure that guests receive the level of service they deserve.
Thank you, Ryan Hotel, for your understanding and for prioritizing customer satisfaction. I hope to share more positive experiences in the future and look forward to seeing how the...

We walked in to get a booking after checking the online reviews and photos. We chose this hotel for its proximity to Megamall Sharjah and places we visited in Sharjah, Ajman and Dubai.
We were met by the friendliest and most accommodating front desk staff, Nour. She and her assistant, Robert, were so helpful in providing us options for our rooms considering a stay with three children. Nour provided us with helpful tips and accommodated our requests, rooms near each other, higher floor, non smoking room. On other days, we were also well-received by Cristine.
My family stayed for 5 nights and it was very comfortable. Everyone is so polite and helpful - housekeeping, banquet area. We requested for iron and board, bathroom mats, and other assistance in the room and they came promptly.
Sleep quality was the best. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning. One or two new dishes would be prepared otherwise the spread was the same daily but it was ok for us because we knew what we would look forward to. The fruits were limited to water melon and melon. We love the salad section, the bread section, the oatmeal was our favorite eaten with honey. We met Ms Susan and Ms Linda and they were so warm and friendly!
Dining options were available on foot around the area. There are a lot of Filipino supermarkets, and there is a 24-hour supermarket infront of the hotel.
After our stay in Rayan, we resolved that we will stay there again when we visit Sharjah. The staff were so attentive to our needs and requests that whatever small things unfavorable at first turned out negligible because of the fast and caring attention by the top staff, the housekeeping, the front desk. We had a wonderful and memorable stay experience and we are looking forward to...

Let’s start from the main entrance or should I say “mission impossible.” You can’t even drop your family at the front because there’s simply no space. So, you try the back side… same story, different angle.
Moving on to the reception the staff deserve a standing ovation. No matter what, they’re welcoming and professional. But behind those polite smiles, you can sense the pain of working in what feels like a historic museum of hospitality.
The moment you enter the room, you’re greeted by smelly carpets, shaky elevators, wobbly beds, shivering doors, and dripping ceilings it’s like the hotel itself is crying for renovation. Even the bathroom tiles tell their story spotted, cracked, and full of character! Amenities pool and gym closed on holidays.
Now let’s talk about parking “first come, first survive.” There’s an indoor parking area that’s perfect for small cars and brave hearts. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a spot in B2. If not, prepare to unleash your inner Formula 1 driver sharp turns, tight corners, and the constant hope that someone leaves before your patience does.
And if by mistake you park in the Baladiya side of the basement congratulations, your fine is already on the way. All that said, Rayan Hotel still has its audience — ideal for job seekers, bachelors meetups, budget travelers, or anyone just looking for a night shelter.
Not the worst experience, but definitely not the best.. a place where nostalgia meets maintenance issues
Other than that the...
