From the moment we arrived at the One&Only Za’abeel in Dubai, it was clear: this isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience of unmatched excellence. We have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, but this is without a doubt the most breathtaking, refined, and unforgettable place we have ever had the pleasure to stay. We‘ve been there for 12 nights.

Service & Staff: A Class of Their Own Every interaction throughout our stay was a masterclass in hospitality. The level of care, professionalism, and genuine warmth from most of the team was extraordinary—but one name stands above all: Ezz El Deen. Ezz is not just a service professional; he is a rare talent with an incredible eye for detail, an instinctive understanding of guests’ needs, and a charisma that elevates the entire dining experience. Every morning at breakfast, Ezz turned something simple into something memorable. His attentiveness, efficiency, and genuine kindness made us feel not just welcomed, but truly valued. Views & Elevators: A Sky-High Dream Perched high above the city, the panoramic views from nearly every angle of the hotel are simply awe-inspiring. Watching the Dubai skyline come alive from such a vantage point is an experience in itself. And while the hotel is vertically expansive, switching elevators was never an inconvenience. In fact, we rarely had to wait, and most of the time we had the elevators entirely to ourselves—another small detail that made a big difference.

Breakfast: A Culinary Celebration The breakfast at One&Only Za’abeel deserves its own spotlight. It’s not just a meal—it’s a celebration of flavor, quality, and variety. From the exquisite presentation to the world-class selection, every bite was a reminder that this hotel operates at the very peak of luxury. Unfortunately, it was not as smooth as I had expected, and I believe you would appreciate honest feedback to improve your services.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to wait in the lobby for someone to assist us. However, we ended up waiting for about 20 minutes without anyone attending to us, which forced us to approach the reception ourselves to inquire about our rooms.

After speaking with the staff, the process seemed to take an unusually long time. The employee spent about an hour discussing our reservation and finally assured us that the rooms were ready. However, when we were taken to the rooms, I discovered that my specific request for 2 rooms on the same floor NEXT TO EACH OTHER could not be accommodated.

What made this worse was that no one informed me ahead of time that my request would not be possible. Instead, I only found out after arriving and waiting for my rooms, only to be told that the delay was due to my request for the same floor. If I had known this earlier, I could have taken appropriate action or adjusted my plans accordingly.

To add to the frustration, it was already 19:20 o’clock, and my kids room was still not ready. The room was ready at 20:05... This level of disorganization is unacceptable and does not reflect the standards of a five-star hotel, for that matter.

The situation ruined the start of our vacation, and to my disappointment, there was no sincere apology or effort to make amends, such as offering a free upgrade since they did not gave us the room on time!

If I had known that my request would cause such complications and delays, I would not have made it in the first place!

I trust that One&Only values guest satisfaction and would want to ensure such issues do not occur in the future.

**Side notes: -2 of our rooms smelled was disaster.. i think that smell comes from the toilet 😫 one of the curtains were not working from day one........... AC in my room is not functioning properly. While it seems to be working, it is not cooling the room at all...(Room:4001 )

However, when it comes to service, it’s very slow—painfully slow at times. I really hope they can improve their service to match the high standards of the rest of the experience. On 5 jan 2025, after 2 nights .. finally.. After all the issues and challenges we faced during our stay, we finally received a complimentary upgrade. While I truly appreciate the gesture, it felt like this resolution came much later than it should have. Ideally, the upgrade would have been offered immediately after our initial complaints, ensuring a smoother and more pleasant experience.

As the saying goes, “Better late than never,” and I do value the effort to make things right. I hope that this feedback helps improve how such situations are handled in the future, as I truly believe in the exceptional reputation of...
