This hotel is one of my worst experiences. I really regretted staying at this hotel. This hotel does not deserve 4 stars. Let's go in order. Cons: 1) the reception is very rude, they do not know how to conduct a normal conversation, they are incompetent. 2) the renovation of the entire building leaves much to be desired. Old furniture, dirty windows everywhere. The lighting in the room, in the corridor is very bad. There is no euro standard socket, although the main tourists come where euro standard sockets are used. We asked to change the broken playpen for the child, but it was ignored. 3) accessories for ironing clothes from the time of World War II. 4) I could not get through to the reception from the phone. There is only one phone in the room, although the room is for 2 people. 5) dishes, a glass and cups for only one person, although there are 2 of us + two children. 6) The food turned out to be even sadder than I thought. A meager choice of food, the same thing every day. The buffet is only breakfast. Lunch/dinner from the menu, which are repeated every day. 7) Transportation to the beach at a very inconvenient time for tourists. We were never able to get on this bus. Moreover, there is only one trip for the whole day! 8) We wanted to postpone check-out from the hotel for 2 hours, to which we were categorically refused, although the hotel was not that crowded. At first, it seemed like there were a couple more people besides us and that was it. I would never stay in the hotel longer, but it is difficult with children, the reception is like from another planet. In the end, I paid another 200 AED, and was very angry! So I do not recommend this hotel! For this money, I think you can find much better.

The worst hotel I have ever seen in my life. The room's cooling system makes a sound like an airplane engine, the phone in the room was not working to communicate with the reception, the Gillette razor had already been used. When I paid, I paid 250 dirhams by card I was barely able to sleep because of the loud noise, when I woke up at 3 am when my mobile phone rang, a person named Sohail called from the reception and said to come down immediately and draw another 100 dirhams because you underpaid! Hotel employees need training and their management needs counseling!!!! In my opinion, even if you had to, don't go to this hotel to get it fixed. Sleeping on the street is more comfortable than staying in this hotel . As a business consultant, I suggest the owners of this hotel to think about training their employees and improving their services before their business is destroyed. wish you luck.

Hello Sharjah Palace Team,

Would like to give my review regarding my experience your hotel.

My partner and I stayed on the 19th to 20th of September 2023

We were looking for a hotel near my sister in-law’s home and we decided to try your hotel. We had been traveling from Abu Dhabi to Sharjah and we arrived late, almost midnight for check in. At first impression, the night staff was not welcoming at all. He wanted to charge us more than the rate we booked and my husband had to inform him our rate was confirmed with your reservation staff when we booked prior and after he said that he checked the system and never apologized he just proceeded with the check in.

My Husband then requested if we could have a late checkout since we arrived so late and we had a flight to catch the next day and immediately before we could even say anything he said you have to pay. He did not even bother to ask how long we needed to extend the checkout, again from my experience in hotels, check out is chargeable when it extends past two hours, at least every hotel is different but he never bothered to ask. It's only after my husband asked him if he would charge even at 1pm that he granted us the check out and did not update his system because the next day someone called us at 12:30 and we had to inform them we were confirmed late checkout at 1pm. We didn’t need to stay longer, only an extra hour as we had a flight to catch the next day.

He then refused to give us our IDs back which we asked him why he never gave us a reasonable explanation. We found it strange as far as I’m aware with my hotel experience no hotel is supposed to hold your IDs in contempt as if we are criminals. We were too tired to argue about the IDs so we just went to the room which smelt of smoke btw and I almost fell in the bathroom because the glass that blocks the water from spilling on the ground apparently moves it’s not glued to the tub.

On the day of check out, after being rushed out even though we had the extra hour approved, I asked the reception staff to return our IDs which we almost forgot btw, and inquired if it was a Dubai regulation to keep IDs at check in and they said no we must have forgotten them. We informed them their staff refused to give us a check in ; they said they were not aware of it. Immediately after that they said we have to wait while they check the room, are you kidding me? After a few minutes I got upset and requested how long they needed to check the room because we had a flight to catch and this is my first time ever being told to wait to check the room, after I complained they said okay we can go. The hotel has our Id information, mobile numbers and email. If anything , can the hotel contact us not so?

I don’t know the kind of Guests that your hotel receives but this is by far the worst experience in my life, I felt like maybe because we are African your staff treated us less, with disregard. We paid for the room just like any other guest therefore why treat us any less? Had it been an Arabic guest or European guests would your staff treat them the way they did us? I will never recommend anyone to stay in your hotel after this experience and maybe you can train your staff on how to deal with guests professionally as this is unacceptable. It doesn't hurt to be nice and after all first impressions matter most in hospitality because that’s how you channel returning guests and I believe in this line of business, guest experience matters a lot being that there is plenty of competition around.

I don’t know if you will care about my review but if you care about guest satisfaction then maybe this will help the hotel improve on lacking areas.

Best Regards,

Thelma...

First an foremost my parents haven been staying in this hotel for over 5 years and the service has gotten so bad that after our last stay we are never staying here again.||||This is my first time staying here and I am glad its my last||||Room rate: 500AED per night per room (we had 5 rooms)||||We were on a businesses trip and were exhibiting at the expo center, this is the main reason of staying here due to its location.||||We started the trip by landing in Dubai Airport, we booked the rooms directly with the hotel as we needed many rooms and pick up and drop off service. (they charged us 300 AED) per trip to airport so in total we paid 600 AED for airport transfer. In the deal we it also included pickup and drop off to the expo center. Again this is one of the main reasons for saying here as many hotels dont offer this. But we have found another one that does so we will be taking our business there from now on.||||The bus provided was less the adequate with broken AC and dust mites everywhere.||||The staff driving and helping with the bags were very nice and kind but did require tipping.||||Once we checked in we were greeted with our rooms. Dull depressing rooms is all you'll find here but its a businesses trip so we didn't mind too much. What was really disappointing was the broken showers and hot water. The water was luke warm at best and the handle in 2 of our rooms was broken. They changed one but didn't change the other. I was showering in another room due to the lack of hot water in mine and as i was showering the entire pipe of the handle burst on me... luckily it was the end of my shower but come on!||||We had an extra bed that i stayed in and it was hard as a rock. The normal beds are average, its not winning any comfort awards. Oh and they say "Free WIFI" yea its free when it works.... To keep it short it didn't work and when it did it was so slow that it was basically unusable.||||Room service is extremely average again. Not bad, but not good either.||||Noise... Oh boy. One morning after a tiring day at the exhibition we were woken up at 9am in the morning with drumming African church music.... We were so tired from the exhibition we just wanted to sleep. When we complained to the manager he said it was a contract... why does that matter to me? Regardless we asked for compensation buy not paying for that night. He refused instead offers us a pathetic 40 AED complimentary room service. What a joke. The manager Mr Chmed [--] is utterly useless and didn't want to help at all. He really left my mum sour as she been staying there for 5 years.||||40 AED.... we tipped the bus driver everyday 10 AED 2 times... not to mention the porters. Almost 300 AED in just bloody tips. And he offers us 40 AED in compensation. Amazing||||Breakfast is below avg. Staff are nice but food is super basic and tastes funky.||||In conclusion, dont stay here. Just dont. Unless its almost free...
