Al Taawun Roundabout — Attraction in Sharjah

such a modern and futuristic city with the worst roundabout due to the timing of the signal. the signal turns red under 1 minute and stays red for the next 4 mins or so. It's literally infuriating that only this roundabout has this issue. i have been reaching school late multiple times because of this signal, not because of the traffic. this signal is causing drivers to be impatient and furious, and it is indeed a very bad signal. what is the point of turning it green just for it to turn red under min, why and how is that like that?. such a modern city with such a stupid signal is actually 🙄 mindblowing. i wouldn't be surprised if people drove roght through the red signal, and i would say it is actually okay to do that because the purpose of the signal is actually stupid. why is the authorities not realizing this and not taking action? i wish the foreigners and the tourist go through this roundabout because the image of dubai and Uae overall would change if they drove through there. absolutely shameful by the RTA. you need to do better. pls take care of...

Words can not describe how seriously terribly designed this roundabout is, specifically with many new towers newly builded this roundabout can't serve huge no. Of cars.

Accidents are very common due to how busy the area is. The roundabout just isn't capable of servicing such an area, and the new traffic lights have done nothing to help it.

The roundabout is iconic and beautiful, I commend the sharjah Government for the beautiful work they've done on this roundabout, but one thing I don't like is the risk to the lives of pedestrians who use this roundabout daily due to lack of traffic control lights. It's a very busy roundabout coupled with the fact that theres a mall just by the side of it. I've witnessed more near death experience with people trying to cross the road including pregnant women and children. I use this medium to plead with the #sharjah government to consider installing traffic lights here and save more lives, we can't wait until the day tragedy...
