Stayed here week w/c 13/9/21 for 4 nights, day of arrival(Monday) Was informed by reception that lift was out of order(lift was still out of order Friday morning when I left, how long does it take to get an engineer out to fix it!?) I was given room 46 on the 1st floor, it was adaquate for my needs as I was there through work. There are some issues with the room, firstly it never dropped below 24 degrees in there despite attempting to turn down thermostat to 17 degrees, I can only conclude it isn't working? There is a fan in room (so they know it gets hot in there) but it's not very powerful. Secondly there seems to be sealant across the floor in bathroom but it isn't sealing anything. (very strange, see pics) The next thing is the mirror has seen better days, it's starting to lose its edging. The toilet roll holder appears to have changed colour from white to a horrible yellowy colour (almost like cigarette smoke stained colour) The room generally needs a deep clean as it's very dusty once the main room door is shut. On a final note about the overall cleanliness of the room, I never once had anyone come in to change sheets, replace towels, replace tea and coffee etc which is the first time I have known this happen despite staying in many Premier inns in my time around the country. The receptionist did get my tea and coffee replaced when I asked on the Wednesday morning. The bed was comfortable and I slept well and the food from the pub next door was always nice and hot, and staff were friendly there. Overall I would say this is not one of the better Premier inns I have stayed at and it needs a lick of paint and deep clean but is adaquate for...

Having never stayed in a Premier Inn before, this was pretty much what I had expected. I say pretty much because there are 2 positive exceptions. The service provided is so much better than I thought it would be! You can ask for more coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk capsules, bottled water... 5 of us came to stay so we went to get a whole range of stuff to last us overnight, the receptionist was more than happy to give us what we asked for - and more! The second exception is the bathroom, it is larger than I had expected considering it is an ensuite, it also has a bath which I didn't I really expect. Overall the rooms seem very clean and modern. I was also impressed as, although the lift is out of action which is stated when you book, when we arrived, as grandma struggles to walk we were offered a change of room to a ground floor room rather than a first floor room. I thought that this flexibility was impressive. Having previously stayed in a travel Lodge where you got 30 minutes of internet I was impressed to find that here there was both free and paid internet. I didn't pay so can't comment on the premium speed that is supposed to be 8x faster than standard for streaming video, but the free WiFi is good enough for social media and general browsing. Overall, a good stay. I would not hesitate to stay in a Premier Inn...

Me and my friend stayed here on Saturday 19th July, and though we have no issues with the room or its location, she has been having issues obtaining a refund for the buffet breakfast. We unfortunately had to wait one hour for our food having been told "the chef has disappeared" leaving the buffet almost empty and other people waiting. We were then told we would have a full refund for both breakfasts due to the inconvenience. At the desk we were advised this had been done. However, she has only received one refund. After numerous phone calls ringing out and multiple emails sent she was advised a week later this would be done. Another week has passed and she is still waiting.

I'm not one to leave reviews of this sort, but after countless calls ringing out, and unresponsive emails. We can't help but feel disappointed by it's staff and customer service team.

I'm hoping this will just be a one off issue, but if you are going to stay here, I would recommend continental (however, this was also not...

Not too thrilled about our stay here, we were told after we booked that there were major works going on to the hotel. This didn’t affect our sleep thankfully, but the hotel was incredible dusty and the entire bottom floor has become a work site. The adjacent Brewers Fayre was also undergoing renovations and therefore was not open at all except for pre-booked breakfasts. We were not told about this until we had arrived. Our bathroom door handle was instantly broken upon arrival. Not the end of the world, but something that could have easily have fixed before our arrival. Can’t fault the location, but almost everything else was just a mess. Service was also pretty lacklustre and unenthusiastic.

Modern needs to come out of the description. Room was so dated and smelt like stale lynx and sweaty clothing. Bathroom was dated. All we had was one small electric heater in the corner to heat the room. No plug sockets by the bed. It was really giving ā€œhotel that no one frequents because it’s in the middle of nowhereā€. Desperately needs a refurb.
