We're back from a stunning night away at Foxhill Manor. I can't get over this place, it reinvents hotels. The way that they do hospitality is unique and so refreshing. There is no check in desk, no restaurant and they want you to treat the manor like your own house. We were welcomed, as we arrived, with a glass of champagne each and told that we could have an upgrade as there were only 2 other couples staying that night and with 6 rooms going free, we had a tour of them all so we could choose which one we'd like to stay in! Once decided on our room, we were taken to meet the chef in the kitchen. The hotel has no menu but a board with the daily, locally sourced ingredients and suggestions of dishes. We discussed with James what we would like to eat for dinner and he made it for us! And since there is no restaurant, you can eat wherever you like, whenever you like. Same applies with breakfast and lunch, we were told if there was anything we liked, had seen or ever imagined then we can ask for it and they will do it. Nothing was ever too much to ask. There was a drinks cabinet that we were free to drink as much as we liked all included in the cost of our stay which choice of rum, whiskey, vodka, gin, champagne and mixers. Around 3pm every day, they put a cake out which you can help yourself to. The rooms themselves are so beautiful, all individual but equally choosable. Foxhill Manor is one hotel in a stunning estate called Farncombe Estate which includes Fish Hotel, having a £4m refurbishment which will boast stunning treehouses and Dormy House which housed the spa and 2 beautiful restaurants. If you wanted to go to the spa then one of the wonderful staff will chauffeur you to Dormy House and back. There was a pantry full of treats what you could help yourself to (dangerous!). A wine cellar which you could go down to, pick your choice of wine ranging from everyday wines to vintages worth up to £950! A cinema/media room with a large range of DVDs, Netflix and Sky Movies. We loved the ethos of this place. They have coined the phrase 'private house hotel'. And you really get that feel, you get to know all the staff by name who seem to really care about your stay. They genuinely love where they work and it really comes across. They will help you in any way possible whilst keeping the personal touch which makes this place so special.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Foxhill Manor for two nights, and this hotel is like no other. It's designed to feel like a second home; the concept behind it is that you are the boss, and everything is tailored to meet your wishes. There is no check-in kiosk. As you enter, the staff greets you, takes you to the lounge, and gives you a tour of the property. The lounge is fantastic, offering unlimited drinks and champagne. It's a place where you don't need to worry; you can drink whatever you want, whenever you want. There is also a cinema room on site. Fancy any snacks? You can raid the pantry. There are several rooms on site, and we were fortunate enough to stay in the Oak, the largest and best room available. The room is massive and features the famous twin baths with a view. It can't get better than this! There is no set menu for dinner. You speak with the chef and request whatever you want. There is a board of ingredients and suggested dishes, but you can eat anywhere on the property and at any time. The same goes for breakfast – amazing! They have an incredible hot tub and sauna in the woods, and you can even request champagne while you're there. You also get access to the Dormy House Spa. Want to go there? They will chauffeur you. Want to visit Broadway? They will chauffeur you there as well. A huge plus: since this hotel became part of LHR and Hilton, you get Hilton Honors recognition based on your status. Special thanks to Callum and George, who made our stay memorable. We look forward to coming back here.

Tip Top Time with fabulous views. Excellent service and outstanding food. We stayed there with some friends who were having a 40th birthday party. The service provided by the staff was nothing short of perfect and the food was absolutely spectacular. The views looking out of the back of this magnificent manor house were breathtaking in the evening and we could not get enough of the "pantry" (a tuck shop!) which was situated in the first floor. The space itself is divided into a giant banquet hall and also some rather swanky dining rooms and lounges with a bar situated centrally. The building itself is decorated with the most up-to-date style and taste yet still retaining a feeling of heritage. There is a wonderful garden at the back that has lawns, flowerbeds and a grand patio that can be used for lots of different functions - we had a barbecue there on the first night and it was spectacular. There is a giant table that allows you to seat up to 40 people and there are swinging chairs as well as games available to arrange on the upper terrace. There is a sister hotel next door called the fish which is apparently very nice as well the driveway to the hotel seems to go on forever probably about 1 mile long there's a town very close by called Broadway which is very picturesque and has lots of luxury shops market and cafes to eat in. This is a very beautiful part of the world and if you get the chance to explore the local towns and villages I thoroughly recommend it.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The entire concept of it is desperately needed within an industry losing more and more customers to the likes of Airbnb. Especially in the luxury realm: It’s all about the service. Yes, the amenities must be five-star, the food superb. But without the service it all falls apart. From the moment we were greeted here by Hester, then later by Georgia and Colm, we were always made to feel as if we were welcomed guests entering our own home. ||Anything we needed was taken care of. From deliciously cooked meals we could customize to our liking after visiting with the chef, to champagne and other drinks to enjoy whenever and wherever you want them. The”full Fox” option ensures all of that, taking the guesswork out of everything — except where to enjoy your meals, as they can set you up pretty much anyplace on the property you want.||Minimal number of rooms means relative privacy at all times on the beautiful, ample sized property in a secluded setting. And if you want to leave the grounds, they will drive you to either of two nearby towns in a private car and pick you up when you choose. You can also be driven to their sister property to enjoy complimentary use of their spa pools or arrange spa treatments. ||Our room (Maple) was very spacious and well appointed with luxury furnishings and bath products as were other room types we were shown. And the common areas of the hotel were also updated with lavish furniture and other design work representative of an old English manor without looking worn and tired. We have already booked to go back for three nights in December right before Christmas and that is no small task as we live on the West Coast of the U.S.||So, it needs to be a special place to get us to keep making the trip over and this has the look and feel of a special place.||But again, it’s the training of the staff and the hiring of certain personality types that makes this hotel worth it. They care about your enjoyment and it comes across. Other luxury hotels should take note of this often overlooked feature. You can have the biggest rooms, nicest furniture and fanciest dining rooms and it all gets lost if the employees treat the guests like commodities. That doesn’t happen here. We can’t...

Wow. Where do I even start! From the moment we pulled up until the minute we left, the team at Foxhill could not do more for you. The relaxed, yet welcoming & personal service hugely adds to your whole experience. ||Grace and George looked after us for the most part and they are both a huge credit to Foxhill. Genuinely kind, caring people who want you to have the best time. George’s passion for wine and his carefully curated wine cellar was a huge bonus for us, and his recommendations were bang on point. ||The food!!! I cannot put into words how amazing the food is. Consistently! It’s real food, cooked with the best produce, with interesting flavours. Not too fussy. Proper food, great portion sizes. It actually makes me a bit emotional thinking about how amazing it all was. The gambas, the dauphinoise, the cote de boeuf, the monkfish, the rhubarb crumble… gosh, it was all insane. Even the toastie and soup for lunch was everything you could ever ask for! ||We went to Dormy House for a few hours, and I had one of the best facials I’ve ever had. Such a lovely treat having it just 5 minutes away and George drove us there and collected us. ||Back to Foxhill - the outdoor sauna and hot tub!! What a touch. A cheeky bottle of champagne in there pre dinner was such fun! The help yourself bar in the lounge - just brilliant! And in general the drinks on offer as part of the full fox are truly premium. Not to forget the pantry, full of sweets, crisps, drinks & popcorn!||By far, the best break away in England that we have ever had. I cannot wait to come back!!||Thank you so so so much to everyone who helped make our experience so perfect. You are...
