Abbey Guest House 4 Star — Hotel in Great Britain

This really is a little gem of a place Steve, the landlord could not be more helpful and friendly. We were due to book in after 3pm but arrived early and were welcomed in. Steve gave us a parking permit and we were able to park right outside the door. Our room was fairly small but fine for two people for two nights. The beds were lovely and comfortable with feather duvets. The room has great facilities, the usual like tea and coffee but also lots of lovely toiletries. The best though is that it has it's own fridge complete with fresh milk. It was really warm during our stay so it was lovely to have somewhere to keep things cold. The guest house is a short walk from all Redcar had to offer. There's a great fish and chip shop at the end of street - we sat outside with ours but Steve invited us inside to use the breakfast room if we wanted. A two-night stay at the Abbey Guest House for the funeral of a friend in nearby Brotton. I’ve never been to Redcar before, so the warm welcome and helpful local advice from Steve at the Abbey Guest House was great - from information on a local taxi service to other places to eat, Steve was a font of knowledge. He even told me about Redcar having only two seasons - Winter and August! :-) A lovely room and cracking full-English breakfast, made this great value guest house one I would definitely return to, but the secret ingredient was, without doubt, Steve’s warm hospitality and friendliness. We stayed at the abbey 25/7 for 2 nights, lovely clean room, bathroom also, location excellent, breakfast very good, cooked well and nothing too much trouble, very friendly welcome, steve was a fantastic host with great knowledge of the area, steves wife very nice, a lovely couple who put all their energy into their buisness, great sleep very comfy beds, nice to have extra,s with the toiletries supplied, they have thought of everything !!! I would give them 10/10 for everything, no negatives at all. If you want a good b@b go and stay at the Abbey you wont regret it. !!!
