Impromptu visit, with my grandson, to the beach at Redcar after 5 tonight. It was lovely, Olivers fish and chips followed by famous Pacitto's lemon tops. A visit to the forest on the beach, a stroll along the shoreline snd then fun in the pavement fountains. It was very busy, the sea front is much improved but I was saddened to see how much litter was left on the beach and on the pavement area. One lad dropped a sweet wrapper even though he was passing a bin! Lots of plastic bottles, plastic crisp packets, broken buckets, rods and nets floating back into the sea. Empty fish and chip papers/ boxes left on the benches and pavements. Litter is one of my pet hates, and if David Attenborough's Blue Planet programme can't convince people to take their rubbish home with then what will?? Its easy, make life better for everyone and everything, take your litter...

Beautiful sandy beaches, when the tide is out enjoy the walk on the petrified forest ,an array of amazing rock pools. Take a walk along front, enjoy fish n chips, our famous lemon top at pacitos or Gabrielles ice cream parlour novel experience to be had inside . Arcades Also vintage to modern tea rooms, walk into the pedestrianised town centre. I never tire of the changing seasons taking in the tidal shoreline , our seabirds even the odd seal. Signed areas for beach walking your dog, watch our local fishermen with their tractor pulled fishing boats launch in or out of the sea.vist the worls oldest lifeboat. Donkey rides during summer months. Most importantly the promenade sea front. Town. Most of the shops cafe are mobility scooter & wheelchair friendly. I use both , the retail staff are mega friendly.parking is...

We have never been to Redcar before, we were looking for a dog friendly beach walk and saw you could walk from Redcar to Saltburn completely on the beach if the tide is out. We arrived at 10am, easy to park on the beach front as not that busy. The beach wasn't busy, mostly dog walkers. It was really enjoyable, we got to Maske and had some fish and chips which were gorgeous, completed our walk and returned to Redcar to get back in the car. By mid afternoon it was far busier, the beach was busy and the promenade was packed. It was the start of a Bank Holiday weekend and lots of people enjoying a hot summer day. We'll return and explore a different stretch next time to see what that's like. We only go for the beach and sea air and would...

Lovely beach to go for a day out. There is plenty of space. There are car parks bit they run out of spaces quickly. There is parking along the beach front. They are pay to park and not to expensive ( 12.50 for 5 hours). The water is lovely clean and warm. You get to watch all the ships go by and watch the wind turbines. There are shops and arcade not to far from the car parks. If you wait alittle further you can go in the high street shops which have everything the beach front shops have but cheaper. There are lots of food options to pick from you just have to pick a street and there is food. I have been here twice and will be going back

I recently visited Redcar Beach, and it was an incredibly soothing and beautiful experience. The expansive golden sands, clean shoreline, and the gentle sound of the waves created a perfect setting for relaxation. The breathtaking views of the North Sea, especially at sunset, were truly mesmerizing. The calm atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a peaceful walk or simply unwinding by the water. The friendly locals and convenient nearby amenities added to the overall pleasant experience. Redcar Beach is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility, making it a must-visit destination.
