11 old fisherman arrived to Carlton House for our first visit to our hosts newer property ( we are previous guests of our hosts other guest house in Port Patrick "The Knowe " and boy were we impressed. Excellent renewing and refurbishment where on the first floor was a impressive cinema room with a 80 inch Intel tele,a huge kitchen with a island, a utility room with separate toilet, a double ensuite bedroom and a massive walled south facing private garden with patio furniture. On the second floor were more bedrooms with two having magnificent views over the harbour and two overlooking the garden and another living room with tele furnished to very high standards. The third floor had another 4 bedrooms- doubles and twins with only one twin not being en suite however the 3 floor has the family bathroom which became this twin rooms exclusive "en suite".Carlton House all in all is a fabulous guest house for families or large groups who wish to visit as a break or holiday.Port Patrick is quaint and has great hotel bars all serving great menus and of course plenty easy travalable routes for shore fishermen, walks or for cycling who have various circular routes. We ,11 spent a fantastic 5 day 5 night stay and have no complaints re our house although I as being in the twin upstairs did recieve various threats and hissing for my horrendous snoring but hey ho.Until next year's adventure we will cross fingers to be able to return to Carlton House and hope our Guest house owners can fit us in for our old mens fishing trip.||Draw backs (1)At times you are not able to park outside the guest house however free parking is available in a car park 2 minutes walk away.(2) If single sex are visiting and more that 11 persons may have to share a double bed. NB These are not really drawbacks but are...

Location was fab , breakfast quick , grease free, yummy and plentiful . Rooms were comfy , clean had all you could need . Yes the place was old and perhaps tired but owner and staff very friendly and helpful . We stay at b and bs for bed and break fast while we enjoy a location rather than for a fancy night in a room so for the price was well pleased and would stay again. Alistair even took a fiver off our bill and gave it to my son to spend ...
