Well just had the most awful experience waited 45 mins when I asked what was the problem was got told he had lots of orders asked what happens to walk ins was told you are prioritised he said everything cooked fresh I was them only.person by the point in shop the man infront of me asked for he's money back as couldn't wait any longer was told could not get it back the man walked out. When I said you shouldn't speak to customers like that he was so rude said he couldn't careless. What a way to speak to people . If you told me it was going to take so long I wouldn't of ordered. You will have no business left treating folk it that manner. Rude argumentative dismissive infact hope you fail.

Most obnoxious horrible LITTLE MAN should not be serving customers. Should tell them it will be nearer an hour till foid ready before taking money then refusing to give it back when people can wait no longer. Poor advert for tourism in Nairn. thank you for your response I'd like to apologise as I don't realise you couldn't tell time. it's fictional you thinking I never waited this long and blacklisting me is up to you as an outlet. also I was not abusive in the slightest it was a joke the time it took was just expressing my feelings which is a basic human right. I don't doubt your food is cooked fresh and your busy and hard workers, and may take longer but I wasent told on phone how long it would be fact... it was just short of two hours fact... and was standard food fact. majority of what your response has indicated is fiction. maybe if I visited I would see Merlin and arther pulling the soward out a stone and getting a few tins of in bru and a fish supper. that's fiction. the fact is I was told by a friend to visit here as food is great. and I'm sure it is last night tho was of poor standard. take care now....

Sadly I've had to update my review as it used to be an amazing little chippy. Not sure what's happened as they were always busy and very popular. Huge difference in quality of the food and even the chips are nothing like they used to be. Not just that but the portions are terrible. People at the castaway need to sort it out. You've lost a ton of customers and locals are talking about how bad it's got. One thing that doesn't let this place down is the people working there. The young lasses who serve deserve a shout out as they are lovely. If you're looking for a great chippy. Consistent and won't let you down. Go to 'Friar Tucks' best in town. Just Google the directions and walk there as you won't get anywhere to park. Everywhere in Nairn is a 5 minute walk and it's 2 mins from beach and just across the road from the river so you can go sit and enjoy the banging...
