My parents are currently staying long term in the Premier Inn and utilising the adjoining TableTable. I visited them last week and the hotel is exactly what you can expect from a Premier Inn (the bed is comfy, the bathroom is perfect but bring your own toiletries and the room was spotlessly clean). My parents have been telling me for weeks how well everyone is treating them. I asked my mum to ask at reception if it would be possible to get a room close to them but instead the staff moved a few rooms around, gave me the room next door and suggested we could unlock the adjoining door if we wanted which we did. When I went over to say thank you I was told no thanks needed it was nothing.
Over at TableTable, I was booked for breakfast every day and with the children eating for free this was amazing value. The restaurant had been struck with a number of staff down with self isolation so was closed in the evening so I unfortunately didn’t get to meet all the names my mum and dad had been talking about but I had the pleasure of meeting Natasha, Megan and Chelsea and they couldn’t have been nicer. Nothing was too much trouble and service really was with a smile. One day we were even served before we asked for things based on hearing us speak as they passed by the table “just to be helpful” another day we were brought out tasters of Soya Milk and tasters of granola to help my daughters choose their breakfast. On another occasion my six year old was disappointed to discover their was no pain au chocolat left rather than simply say there was none left they not only offered alternatives they spun it so my six year old thought she was getting something different and yummy just for her and left her feeling very special.
Premier Inn at Cambuslang is, as I say, exactly what you expect from the Premier Inn but the staff are special. You leave there feeling like you’ve been looked after and cared for by genuinely kind people who enjoy what they do and from budget hotels to the crème de la crème of five star hotels you don’t usually get that. I was more than impressed and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I’m...
Read moreRooms are uniformed across the country and are quite good. Beds are clean as can be expected along with the bathrooms, the only thing I can pick fault with is ; they have turned off the air conditioning (32 degrees with the window open on a rainy day, cold shower before bed, or if your a couple and want it hot and steamy ...) so a fan is provided and the window has to be open and when you sleep in a strange place and hear cars and other noise outside its difficult to switch off and sleep, the bar also closes early next door, the food in the restaurant is ok but packed with calories for some reason and if you are on a meal deal there are extra charges for some things, I enjoy exotic or spicey food and there wasnt a decent option for me so if fish and chips or a very plain mixed grill that contains the same calories as a big mac meal is your thing then boom your in luck, there is a KFC and Maccys over the road, and also a morrisons 10 min away but you can't walk to it as I didn't see a footpath under the motorway bridge so is at your own risk. I was there for 2 days on a course and with I brought my ps5 because its booking there unless you wanna go Arnold Clarke and see the price of new cars. Glasgow Town centre is about 15 mins in a taxi which isn't to bad really, so can't complain really. The positives are that the staff are friendly and welcoming and when I was there the lady that sorts breakfast for you sings for you as she does her job so a really friendly team is what I would go back for if I...
Read moreBooked in for 3 nights including breakfast. Room was clean and warm. I like a cold room to sleep in. As room backed on to motorway, chose to use the fan instead of opening window wide. Fan was thick with dust, which upon wiping, dispersed all over crisp clean bedding. Thankfully shield at front of fan came off easily, so cleaned it in the bath. Breakfast was average, however staff were great. Layout of toasters is obscure. Against a wall, in a corner, meant only one person could get in at a time. By that afternoon the kitchen had gone on fire, so we were sent to a Beefeater attached to the nearest Premier Inn for breakfast. We had dinner there which was delicius. Wish we had booked in to this hotel instead. Breakfast was great too, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Attempted to have dinner back at our hotel on our 3rd evening, to be told there was a 45 minute wait, although the place had no one dining and only a couple of tables drinking. We again chose to return to the Beefeater, and on return to our hotel, we were advised that the kitchen was still closed. Why did this not get relayed when we went for a table? I was advised that breakfast would only be continental the following morning, so was again booked into the Beefeater, as it was en route for our departure. The hotel has McDonald's and KFC on it's doorstep for breakfast, instead of using Orion Way Table Table. I'd recommend booking in to Premier Inn Uddingston if you are booking a meal deal...
