Absolute sweat box. The temperature of the room was up to 30 degrees on return from a day out, it wasn't a particularly hot day so hate to imagine what it's like in summer. The window was open and heater had to be turned off at the wall. I had set the thermostat to be the lowest at 18 degrees but it kept pumping out heat even when reading 30 degrees on wall panel, something obviously wrong with the function of the control. Room didn't cool down overnight even with heating off and window open as much as it could. Premier Inn have a good sleep guarantee but apparently we weren't entitled to a refund as the hotel doesn't claim to have air conditioning. It was 1 degrees outside over night, there was no need for air conditioning surely we were just cooked by their dodgy outdated heating controls. When alerting reception over night all they could provide was a bowl of ice to place in front of the fan which quickly melted and the fan just wafted the hot air about as it couldn't be plugged in near beds due to all the plugs being on the dressing table area.

Excellent location to get out and about. It's joined to the Beefeater. Staff really friendly and quick to act on any requests. The room it's self was a basic premier room. When entering strong smell of bleach. Bathroom had minor problem with black mould from condensation which they were obviously trying to rectify. The room it self was very clean. Hot even though we turned the heater off, tried to control it with temperature control on wall, didn't work, kept window open all the time. It was still 22°. Mentioned this at desk and within minutes a fan was placed in the room for us to use. This is the end of December.

Stayed at this hotel last night, not the best. The rooms looked a little tired, but what REALLY spoilt it was the floor boards. We stayed in room 48, the floor boards in our room were terrible, but what made it worse was the room above seemed to have the same issue. People arriving and leaving in the middle of night due to the hotel being close to Edinburgh Airport means that we had a disturbed night filled with creaks and groans from the building, loud enough to wake everyone in my room. Disturbed night and woke up tired... Not great. The staff were all friendly, but that's really the only highlight.

Hands down the worst premier inn I've stayed in. Staff were 100% as they know the place needs a complete refurb. I'm very aware it's a budget friendly hotel but I took my son for a weekend to scotland for his 6th birthday. Obviously put into a family room which was on the 2nd floor. The floor board noise is absolutely crazy and I'm not over exaggerating and the people above were literally just walking around their room. No banging etc. My son that sleeps through most things couldn't sleep on the first night so I went to reception & it was fully booked so was told to come down in the morning. He ended up sleeping all night once he got over so I didn't even bother going through the hassle of trying to change rooms. The second night was so bad me & him went to reception at 3.50am to just try anything & of course it was fully booked so I was kicking myself for not trying to move. The noise went on all night stopped for about 2 hours & was woke again at 7am with it. Thankfully we were going home on the Sunday & we checked out early just to get out. Again staff were 100% it's not their fault. Rooms are very dated & I've stayed in a good few premier inns as they are usually 100%. Outside noise was absolutely fine. No plugs beside beds to charge phone etc & hardly any TV stations work. I got a refund for one night stay because I didn't take up the opportunity to go down in the morning & request a room change. One night is better than nothing & i would genuinely never stay in this hotel again. Family rooms on 2nd floor with the worst floor boards I've ever heard is wrong. I will say the place is...

What can I say, the eighties kept calling to get the hotel back. Just because it was off the motorway was not a reason to not bother with customer service or cleanliness. The room looked like it had been assaulted, the staff were very uninterested in the customer, we arrived at 9pm after the flight had been delayed and all I wanted was a meal, I was told that they stopped serving food at 9pm, now, considering it was 9.05pm when I asked, had the kitchen staff been turned off with the kitchen equipment? No empathy or customer service, not alternative offered, just an uninterested receptionist saying she'll credit the account, great, love a bit of account crediting to fill me up. I also decided after a long day to go for a drink at 10:25, only to be told bluntly "we are closed" as a member of staff reluctantly mopped the floor, the irony was a sign in the bar saying we are open until the cows go home............this cow was thirsty and not ready to go home. The litter surrounding the hotel which was thrown on the ground by patrons, next to a bin I may add was disgusting, along with glasses on the outside tables which were there the whole time I stayed (2 days). Again, the irony was that there were 3 members of staff at the time who didn't even consider tidying up, they were all sat behind reception shuffling paperwork. The breakfast was awful, dry mushrooms, sticky black pudding which resembled a sponge, snotty eggs and very very dry toast. It was as if no one cared at all. I would not stay here again or...

Good night guarantee does not exist! I did not get a good night sleep and they did not honour the policy! Do not stay here, it needs a deperate refurb. It is a 2 star hotel in the state it is in.|| I explained the bath matt was disgusting along with the bath. There was silver tape on the towel rail, stains on the carpet. The description said it had no air conditioning but you could not open a window as it was so noisy outside. It was insanely hot even with the fan on. If the heat doesnt kill you the noise will. Constant doors banging, room service shouting in the morning and noise in the carpark .|The staff were lovely, when i spoke to them they agreed the bath tubs are disgusting and the place needed a refurbishment. There was no roilwt roll and the holder was filthy. Had to ask for toilet paper.|The light leaks in the room feom above the curtains.|It is worth getting the breckfast at the beefeater, if you do decide to stay, it is very good value for money. |If you have a gig at Murrayfield stadium do not stay here. You will get there but wont get back. Took us 3 hours to get home as there was no taxis.|The room had three plug sockets by the kettle none at...
