Got to say this is the best Premier In I've stayed at so far and I've stayed in quite a few. I don't normally leave reviews but couldn't fault the place so thought I'd leave one this time. We went to Legoland Windsor and stayed here after as it's only about 20mi mins away and near the M4 for the return journey home. The room was very clean and tidy with nothing to fault and the staff were very friendly and helpful and kindly left a hand written note to us wishing us all a good stay with a pack of custard creams, chocolate bars and colouring books with crayons, the boys were thrilled 😄 The restaurant was a a Bar and Block steak house, we had the meal deal and with the upgrades the meal was fantastic and the boys really enjoyed steak from the kids meal which is unusual for kids meals, they loved it. The food was very prompt and the staff were really friendly. The drinks selection was good with some nice IPA's and the 2 for 1 cocktails were cocktail bar worthy, we were very impressed. The morning breakfast was usual cooked to order but way better than usual as was cooked on the steak griddle so very tasty. Had a walk around Dinton County Park which was close by before starting the journey home, was a fantastic stay...

It was all going so well until breakfast. Parking was free. Check in was easy using the machine as there was initially no member of staff to physically check us in. Room was clean and very comfortable. Shower pressure was great and there was no stupid flow limiter on the taps which was excellent to see in a Premier Inn for once. The aircon worked great too. Up until this point, I thought this was an excellent example of a Premier Inn. The slight letdown was breakfast however. There was no buffet and service to order our food was quite slow, though staff were pleasant. I've never been to a premier inn that doesn't do a buffet, even the premier inn hubs do a small buffet. We got given a menu that's claims breakfast is unlimited but it clearly isn't as they take the menu away once you've ordered and psychologically, it's unlikely that people would ask for more. Our breakfast did come out in good time despite just one guy in the kitchen. I'm guessing they do it this was to eliminate waste but given that this will mostly serve business customers in the week who will be in a hurry to get moving I do bugrudge the lack of self serve which I've expected to be the norm with a premier inn (and given check in is largely...

Premier Inn is Premier Inn is Premier Inn. That's why I like them, because you know what you're getting.

However, I had to take a moment to leave a review because I had excellent customer service at this particular branch.

We had originally booked one night, to visit my grandmother who has unfortunately been put on end of life care. We decided to extend our stay, to be with family and I spoke to Pam on the morning of the original checkout.

I explained the situation to Pam and she was extremely understanding and supportive and helped us book another night, and stay in the same room, despite there not being any of these rooms technically available for me to book.

She also sorted out our air-conditioning unit for me, so that it would cool rather than heat the room - with my head not screwed on properly, we spent the first night way too hot!

These small acts of kindness and empathy are what set a place apart, and in a very difficult time for us, Pam made our stay that little bit easier....

Stayed at the Premier Inn at Winnersh Reading for 2 nights. Have stayed in many Premier Inn's at various locstion, however this was far best for the breakfast. A fantastic selection of cereals, fresh pastries, bread, crumpets, pancakes, muffins, croissants ect. Cooked breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was huge. Everything was kept topped up before running out and there was plenty of friendly and helpful staff on hand. Very impressed. Bed wasn't the most comfortablest, but then there's nothing like your own bed

TRADESMEN!! - REGULAR TOOL THEFT I was booked to stay here for the week. On the second night my work van was broken into, £800 worth of power tools stolen. The lady at reception said CCTV captured multiple vans being broken into, and she said this is a REGULAR occurrence at the hotel. The parking isn’t secure. Please be wary and take all tools with you into the room if staying here. Obviously the hotel and staff is limited with what they can do. Night shift security isn’t paid enough to stop tool thieves.
