Generally clean good selection of breakfast (some bare basics not covered) however found lots of little issues and have since been ignored by the owner. On arrival there is a hand written note asking not to knock but ring a mobile. We had to wait ouside to be let in. We were not met by the owner but her mother who was limited with her english. So not all was explained to us when asking for further info.||We prepayed for a kingsize room with garden view and was given a double room with view of the main rd. Another guest had knock on our door asking for his charger back as he was in our room the night before. After asking him we realised he had the larger room we should have been in. ||The bathroom is shared and not stated on booking.com however the owner argued it is. The shower pressure would drop to a drip when using the taps in the bathroom. There is a VERY dangerous wobbly and gappy makeshift piece of wood at the foot of the downstairs toilet which i stumbled on during the night being 6.5 months pregnant this is not safe. Lock on this door is also broke and i had another guest walk in on me.||The locks on the door were 2 interlocking hooks with a padlock. Would only take a tug to pull this out of the door. Postit notes on wall decal and chalk board to tell you wifi details. No check in or check out system. Ive since been bombarded with emails from the booking site because of this. Noise was also an issue. We had no information left in the rooms reguarding safety or incase of emergency or if we had any quiries. After emailing the owner her responce was simply "its down to personal preference and we had her number to call and as youve used the room no refund would be given." She has now since ignored my emails. Id simply like to have the difference back in the room as we did not get what we have payed for. She has delt with its very unprofessionally. Such a shame as this place could have potential. We WILL NOT USE AGAIN OR RECOMMENED. Had she of delt with us well we would of been more comfortable...

We did so and with a few minutes a very pleasant young man arrived to let us in and showed us the around. In the kitchen he told us that we were to help ourselves to breakfast and we saw that there was a big choice of cereal on the side.||||He then took us to our room which was lovely and clean. As he left he said to help ourselves to tea, coffee etc. from the kitchen. ||||Now we come to the but and before I comment I must add that the young man who showed us round said the owner, his brother was away so he was covering for him. Anyway back to my comments. We unpacked and fancied a cuppa, I went to make a drink and there was no milk. I found this a little surprising as this meant there would be nothing to put on the cereal for breakfast. Not to worry I thought we can have toast but there was no bread or butter to be found just jars of jam on the side. I ended up going to the shop to buy milk so we could have a drink and have milk at breakfast time.||||The bed was comfortable but there was no TV which may bother some, there is free WiFi however. An issue that may bother some is that the stairs and landing have no carpets so when other guests came back in the early hours we were both woken up by their footsteps. ||||We went down for breakfast to find another guest who had a bowl of cereal but had discovered the lack of milk. We offered her some of ours and in fact we left our milk in the fridge for the other guests.||||So it is a lovely clean place but perhaps ensuring that there are staples such as milk and bread available might be helpful. It's the first B&B I have ever stayed where not only have I had to prepare my own breakfast but also provide some of it myself.||||As I say this may simply be because the owner was away? TV's and tea and coffee making facilities in the room may be an idea too.||||All in all though for £49 for 2 of us for the night it...
Read moreA simple one word title as that's what this place offers. At the price you don't expect too much but those expectations are exceeded. ||This is someone's home, so don't expect hotel service/ facilities, but in this price bracket you're selfish to demand too much. What you do get is off road parking, a friendly welcome and the reassurance of seeing it is all very clean. The room is minimally furnished, no tv or kettle in the room I had. But they never said they're would be! I was told the kitchen "Is also your area" and there was plenty of free tea and coffee available there. The WiFi had a good connection and the room a good size. It was a wooden frame bed that squeaked a bit but apart from hearing other guests come in later than me it was a quiet night, I live in a quiet close but the road noise didn't bother me.||The shared bathroom is great, a double head shower with good water pressure and temperature. While being welcomed I was shown where a separate toilet was in case it was needed. ||There is a good range of cereal, cookies, pastries etc for breakfast, as you help yourself you can get it as early or late as you like. ||I do miss a kettle in my room and on a longer stay a tv, but what a great clean friendly place definately recommended for those...
