Malcolm Family of 4 + 2 dogs stayed mayfield boutique guest house Lynn owner was friendly & Accommodating on our arrival the only problem I had were 3 flights of stairs leading 2 flat which accommodate of toilet - shower -2 bedrooms 1 room has 2 single beds & storage & tv room 2 was a bigger included double bed storage table & tv the rooms felt cold during day but colder @ night I asked Lynn to put heating on Lynn put heating on the mini Livingroom chill out area space included microwave / fridge sofa / tv blocked sink there no kitchen or oven which is a bit of a disappointment for me as I had bought food with me & couldn’t cook it looking forward to cooking my breakfast following days but had to leave food in fridge but was informed by Lynn there was a local cafe 2 streets down the double mattress in bed was very hard maybe it’s a old mattress as I felt springs when I lay on my side, over all bedrooms were clean tv in all bedroom which ideal as my disabled Autistic son is a god send i personal feel a door is needed for pricy for whoever is in this top flat my dog escaped through tape that was @top of the stairs Lynn phoned me to tell me but a door is essential maybe Lynn should think of getting one installed top of stairs as I also have mobility problems the stairs were too much for me 3 flights stairs i I didn’t realise there were 3 flights of stairs I paid Lynn a deposit I didn’t want to be rude & say stairs we’re a problem & ask for deposit back but I always hire apartment in Bispham in summer in which they have lifts which is a god send for ppl with mobility needs overall Lynn is a Lovely landlady she goes over & beyond to help her guests first impressions from mayfeild is very impressive leading up to minute you walk in front door is a lovely hall way with seats & free water in Fridge & snacks to have & a lovely conservatory to chill out with nice decor throughout & tv / for me when sun shines through windows Lynn should maybe consider investing a blind’s up on front window to stop sun coming in the window but over all our stay @ mayfeild boutique guest house was Lovely but we’ve tried it but because of stairs & way guesthouse is situated outside Blackpool you definitely need car to get too guest house we prefer Bispham better & our local Apartment & Area we know but mayfeild boutique guest house...

On entering the Deluxe Triple Room with Shower, last weekend, I was shocked to see so much clutter and mismatch old furniture. The radiator did not have a regulator knob and after reporting it I was told they would come up and put it on and off when required, my bed did not have a headboard and a flower pot was hanging over my head. The rail for clothes was directly over the kettle area and the shower room was so small you could not even dry yourself in there, the wash hand basin was so small you could not fill the kettle. The single bed was so close to the bay window I could not close the curtains or open the window. The location of the hotel is very near the sea and tram stop. For the price of over £280 for two people for three nights without breakfast I did expect better. I stayed at the Mayfield Hotel from 7th November to 10th November 2025 with my son, but apart from the owner taking our payment balance when we arrived, which we have receipts for, we did not see her again, however, she did start texting us while we were trying to enjoy our holiday and after we had briefly mentioned to her daughter the radiator was not working. Sadly constructive criticism often offends and although I offered the owner the opportunity to give a goodwill gesture of a partial refund, this was refused. Deluxe means high end or premium but I've experienced better basic hotels and sadly sometimes owners need to stop and look at what is offered rather than being blinded by other people's positive reviews and simply saying we were being too picky. You having 30 years in the industry doesn't mean my opinion is incorrect, it means you simply refuse to be wrong. Cluttered cramped rooms are just not attractive or Deluxe. Finally, filling a glass jug in a ceramic sink in a bathroom is considered a no no 🙄 As expected a ridiculous response but to clarify both myself and my 82 year old mother stayed from November 7th- 10th. YET you accuse my mother JEN on her review that she never stayed ? You clearly find it impossible that either of us could have stayed in your so called deluxe triple room but never mind Booking.com will be getting yet another complaint regarding your erratic behaviour.
