As you will see from years or reviews, I am not a negative person. I generally try and find the 'good' in a place. This is a budget hotel, so I my expectations were lowered given the reasonable (>200 GPB) per night price. However, I did not expect a subterranean room with skylights that were under streetlamps. We were given the room and when we originally viewed our basement digs, we went to the front desk to ask if there were other rooms available. We were told the only other room was also a basement room, with an accessible (wet room) toilet. We decided to stay where we were. It was not until well after dark when we discovered that these skylights WOULD NEVER be dimmed. We did not know, given opaque nature of the glass, that there were no blinds or way to block out the light. The pictures we have included were at 10 pm and 2 am - It was bright! When we called to the front desk we were told we have viewed other rooms (which we had not!) and that they had nothing else to offer. We have asked for a refund, given that we had no sleep and it was too late in the evening to move to another hotel. You kind of get a hotel room to sleep in - that's the purpose....and we were unable to do that. In addition to this you can see from the photos. 1. Mold in shower and skylights 2. Broken lock on the door (I put a bag inside the door for extra security). 3. A strange odor in the hallways near the lift - a bit like sewage. It was just not up to Best Western standards. In a 3 star hotel you do not expect chandeliers and marble tubs. You do expect to be able to sleep and for it to be clean and mold-free. I would not normally complain about mold and broken locks.. In all honesty it was the lack of curtains or blinds for the skylights - If you can't sleep, why rent a room with a bed? The hotel's only offer of compensation was 50% a second stay. Given that I would never stay here again, this is not an option. This is not a suitable room for rental and should not be available to guest. It might make a good space for a staffroom but not a hotel room.

Visiting family in the area, and this time we choose the Best Western. It's opposite Northfields tube station, so kids were glad it wasn't a long walk - and my son was pleased so he could watch the trains! When we checked in, we was informed that there had been a mix up - they were honest that it was theirs not our error, made us slightly worried, but all was OK, they just ended up putting us in an accessibility room (which was nice and spacious for kids anyways!) Room was fairly clean and tidy, bathroom probably couldn't have done with a make over but it wasn't horrible or anything. In terms of sound, we heard a few trains going past late night / early morning but it wasn't a major issue for us. We had breakfast includes, which at this hotel is a continental breakfast (toast / cereal etc - not cooked breakfast!) Breakfast is served in the little restaurant area next door. Not massive area for self service, but it was OK - most importantly it was clean, and the people working there were constantly topping things up and cleaning the sides etc. We did think it probably needed a better selection of cereals for kids - it lacked here a little! I thought this hotel was OK, and wouldn't have a problem booking here again if I needed to be in the area!

Nestled just a stone's throw from Northfields tube station, the Best Western Ealing Northfields offers a convenient and affordable base for exploring London's vibrant attractions. While the rooms may be slightly compact, they provide ample comfort for a restful stay. The hotel's true gem lies in its location, providing easy access to central London via the Piccadilly line. Budget-conscious travelers will appreciate the hotel's value proposition, allowing them to allocate their resources towards exploring the city's rich tapestry of experiences. The breakfast spread is a delightful surprise, offering a wide array of options to satisfy every palate. From the charming individual packets of cornflakes to the hearty selections of croissants, toast, eggs, ham, cheese, and fruits, there's something for everyone. And to complement the meal, a variety of skimmed and whole milk, coffee, and tea are available. Overall, the Best Western Ealing Northfields provides a comfortable and convenient stay at an exceptional value, making it an ideal choice for budget-minded travelers seeking easy access to London's treasures.

The hotel is a complete fraud. I booked the room last minute for my elderly parents because of a flight cancellation due to its proximity to the airport. London is having a heat wave, so I made sure to book an air conditioning room. My parents arrived at the hotel around midnight, less than an hour after the booking only to be told, "we listed the room at a discount because the AC is broken". WHAT? That was not disclosed at the time of the booking or no one in their right mind would have booked the room during the heatwave. They claimed to have no AC room available at that point and it was too late to go anywhere else. My elderly parents were not able to sleep all night. The room was not only hot, it was noisy from the tube and dirty. I am of course furious. When I reached out to the hotel to complain, they lied straight through their teeth and said that the AC broke suddenly, not withstanding their earlier admission that the AC was already broken when it was listed for reservation. They then offered 15% refund and a discount on future booking (as if we would ever stay there again!). I laughed. I will be contacting my credit card company to reverse the charges for the fraud and the...
