We happened upon this place by sheer luck. After a days football for our lads at the nearby Gunnersbury park against Brentford, we were looking for somewhere to eat outside the ULEZ. This place came up on Google so we made our way there. We found some public parking opposite the tube station which was just a stone's throw away from the pizza restaurant. On arrival we were a bit concerned as we were the only people here. My friend said maybe we could find somewhere else but we decided to give it a go as we were all very hungry. Well let me tell you that was the best pizzas and pasta we have all had in a very long time. I had the 4 cheese which was cooked perfectly, the others had margaritas and a meat pizza, all of which were totally demolished. The wife had a spaghetti carbonara which she said was very good too. The atmosphere was very good with lots of authentic Italian pictures and artifacts, it's obvious the owners have spent a lot of time and effort bringing Italy to their little restaurant. While we were there a family came in for a takeaway pizza, and a while later it started to fill up with other families and couples. The bill came and again we were amazed at how reasonable it was. 4 authentic Italian pizzas, a spaghetti carbonara, 5 drinks and great service all for less than £60. We will be back any time we come this way. What a...
Read moreVery sad experience. We live around the corner and often get pizza from here. When we came this evening, the restaurant was empty, there were no reservation signs, and no one was around except the chef who I greeted warmly. We sat down at a table and when the waitress came over, she immediately reprimanded us for sitting down without permission in a hostile way. We were told that the restaurant would be fully booked in 30 minutes. I asked if they would like us to leave and we were told it was not a problem to stay. After the meal I asked to speak with the owner to feedback about the experience. She came over already looking for a fight and said she was very busy. I explained to her that we were upset about how we were greeted. She dismissed my gently made points that there are nicer ways to explain they are fully booked, that there wasn’t anyone to greet us on arrival, and that even at the end of our 40-minute meal, the restaurant was still empty except for a group who had also not made a reservation. She ran away from the conversation explaining she was too busy.
We would suggest some reserved signs, a gentler way of greeting diners, and a more open attitude to feedback in the future, but we won’t be...
Read moreLook, the pizza here is great, and the design of the restaurant is lovely. Sadly, that's really where the positives ended for our experience. Firstly, there was no drink menu so it was very hard to know pricing for the different options, as well to know what those options were. Secondly, we were told whilst ordering pizzas that we HAD to order one each, rather than share a pizza. The pizzas are MASSIVE, and we had so much leftovers to take home. It would've made more sense to share but there was no possibility of this. Thirdly, we made a booking in advance, as advised by previous reviews, but were told 30 minutes into our booking that "our table had expired", and we had to leave. We hadn't finished our food or drinks but things were quickly whisked away without us being able to say a single word and was then given to us in takeaway packs. There were plenty of empty tables around us, and no line of people waiting. It was very bizarre. 30 minutes is not enough time to order and finish a meal, in our opinion. The staff overall were a bit stand-off-ish too, sadly. We were really looking forward to our meal but left disappointed and honestly just a...
