The London Hotel — Hotel in London

Honestly the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, me and my girlfriend was booked in from the 5th-8th of April was her birthday weekend. As soon as we arrived there was no confirmation about our stay there and the man at the desk was very confusing and not understanding the situation.||When we got to our room (202) we noticed multiple things wrong instantly such as there was no bin to put any of our rubbish in so for the whole weekend our rubbish was left around the room on the floor.||Secondly the lamp on the bed side table was very poor and kept flickering on and off by itself, there was also no flannels in the bathroom was was disappointing.||The next day we woke up to go to breakfast (which we paid for only) only to be arguing with two staff as apparently we didn’t book for breakfast so we went back up stairs and decided to go for breakfast at subway 5 minutes down the road.||After we came back we had a shower as we thought this couldn’t get any worse only to see YES, IT COULD.||The shower kept blocking up and filling with water as there was a block in the water system so you ended up having a bath and shower together, the tubes of shampoo and body wash were really tiny and could bearly wash my whole body with it, also no conditioner.||The room was tiny and had no room to move around as-well as the bathroom, For some reason under the bed there was loads of red writing smothered across the mattress which was very odd.||At breakfast the next day we was hoping for an actual breakfast such as full English or hot food only to see they had two cereals, warm milk and chocolate croissants.||Before we booked the hotel as it was my girlfriends birthday I wanted some surprises for her so I privately messaged them to see if they could do anything to make her experience the best it could be such as balloons or banners but got ignored and didn’t do anything.||But the last two points were the ABSOLUTE WORST.||Our radiator in the room was permanently on for the whole three days. We asked multiple times to come and sort it out only to get shyed away and completely ignoring us. So we had to leave the balcony door open all the way as we were sweating and the room became very stuffy.||The final point is the BED BUGS! as I’m guessing these bed sheets, covers, blankets, pillows and mattress wasn’t cleaned for quite a while as it smelt like Mouldy food and throughout our stay I kept seeing these red dots on my body, legs and bum and was really confused what was going on, I soon realised they were bug bites as I was looking on the reviews and seen others with the same dilemma,||I hope you never have to visit this hotel and will definitely not coming a second time||Thank you ||Emily...

Well what can I say this hotel was absolutely rubbish, we only stayed for 1 night and that was enough. Upon arrival we had previously contacted the hotel about parking and was told that we could just turn up park as there was plenty of parking available, yes there was plenty of parking but it was all chained off for the other hotels so we had to shuffle the cars around so we could park adequately. We were told|We couldn’t check in until 2.30pm which was fine as we had planned to go off and do some shopping etc. When we got back to the hotel we checked and got our room keys, checked into our rooms and well shocked was a bit of an understatement, my partner and myself had a double room and let’s just say you couldn’t swing a cat in there if you tried, the room itself was ok the bed was a very small 4ft double which left my partner having to sleep by the wall as the bed was a very snug and uncomfortable sleep as the bed was very hard, not ideal when you suffer with a bad back! the bathroom was extremely small, no hot water in the shower ended up having 2 cold showers. The sink was horrible every time we ran the tap in the bathroom it just smelt of stagnant water. My brother and his friend were located in a room downstairs and their issues with the room were the same as ours, but while they were in their room my brother was laying on the bed listening to some music when one of the hotel staff walked past their bedroom window to a fridge and upon that person going back to the hotel desk he stood there and stared into the window looking at my brother for around 5 minutes or so! Absolutely disgusting and this should never have happened. |The next morning we packed our things loaded the car up and then decided we’d have a bit of breakfast as it was included in the room rate, well let’s just say 2 tables of four and 2 tables of 2 in the breakfast room all occupied which meant we couldn’t have anything and had to stop off at the services on the way home. There was no apology from the staff as they could clearly see we couldn’t take advantage of the breakfast. |Overall the service and the stay were really disappointing and I wouldn’t stay again. |And I really think that all staff including hotel|Managers without fail all need training in...

The mysterious lump behind the wall paper that grew over the 2 nights we stayed; because it was filling up with water ! And directly below was electrics and wires; if this was to pop this would have potentially caused a fire.

The roof of the bathroom, because they was too lazy to box the bathroom all the way to the top in the room, had various fibres and building materials left. Now as a person who suffers from asthma, this is terrifying and could trigger asthma off, sleeping in such a cramp room as it was, at any time. But let's forget the asthma...this is not okay for any property - no excuse.

WE FOUND ANTS IN THE PROPERTY. I'm not going to explain any further.see below in a image of them playing around in our cupboard. ( and the cupboard door was hanging on by about 3 screws as to the 6 it should of had ).

Water marks. Dirty door frames/possibly mould. Ripped wallpaper. A tap that likes to spin around. Pipes showing. CONSTRUCTION NOISES ALL THE TIME...by the looks of the past reviews after looking last night they've been building in the hotel for about 3 years now. Broken furniture.

The bed......might as well of slept outside on the floor...there was a huge dip that covered 3/4 of the bed. Resulting in the worse night sleep ever for 2 nights.

I didn't feel comfortable at all aproaching the staff. They were intimidating and hostile and very off. So me and my partner didn't want to have to fight all our problems about the room to them as we know they wouldn't listen and would get difencive (especially the night staff who looked like he'd been dealing something he shouldn't off at the back alley dressed in his 'big man' bubble coat).
