Erbil stands as a testament to culinary excellence and heartfelt hospitality, an experience I will cherish forever. Malik and Mohammad, with their extraordinary service, are the heartbeat of this remarkable establishment. Their attentiveness, warm smiles, and genuine respect turned what could have been an ordinary visit into an extraordinary one. They seamlessly combine professionalism and kindness, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for in the most loving way. The Gouzi was nothing short of culinary perfection. This traditional dish, with its tender meat and fragrant rice, is a true masterpiece that showcases the skill and passion of the kitchen team. Every bite was a revelation, offering a harmonious balance of rich flavors that speak to Erbil's dedication to excellence. The impeccable leadership of Kareem and Faisal deserves special mention as well. Their guidance and management ensure that Erbil operates smoothly and maintains the highest standards of quality. It’s clear that their vision and care set the foundation for the exceptional service and culinary artistry that define Erbil. Erbil is not merely a restaurant; it is a place where food, service, and leadership come together to create moments of pure joy and excellence. With Malik and Mohammad’s exceptional service, Kareem and Faisal’s outstanding management, and the culinary team’s brilliance, Erbil is a destination I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an extraordinary experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Citadel of Erbil in London and I must say, the Iraqi and Middle East cuisine truly exceeded my expectations! The star of the show was undeniably the Hoummos Awarma, which was bursting with flavor and had the perfect texture - smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of chunky. It was undoubtedly one of the best I have ever tried. The mix grill was equally impressive, featuring a juicy and well-seasoned selection of meats that were grilled to perfection. Accompanied by a generous serving of fragrant rice and fresh vegetables, it was a delightful and satisfying meal that left me feeling fully satisfied. But the real standout for me was the Iraqi Dolma. These stuffed grape leaves were absolutely delicious, filled with a tantalizing mixture of rice, vegetables, and savory spices. It was a true delight to savor the unique flavors and texture of this traditional Middle Eastern dish. Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of the Citadel of Erbil's Iraqi and Middle Eastern food. The quality of the ingredients and the impeccable preparation truly impressed me, and I cannot wait to come back and try more of their dishes. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking for a delicious meal, the Citadel of Erbil is a must-visit spot for anyone interested in the rich and vibrant flavors of Iraqi and Middle Eastern cuisine. Highly recommended!

A Hidden Gem in London – A Must-Visit for Middle Eastern Cuisine Lovers! While heading back to our hotel one evening, we happened to glance at the menu outside Citadel of Erbil Restaurant, and before we could even decide, a warm and welcoming staff member invited us in. That small moment of hospitality set the tone for what turned out to be an excellent dining experience. As a vegetarian who grew up in the Middle East, I always feel confident finding something delicious at a Middle Eastern restaurant — but Citadel of Erbil exceeded our expectations. The menu was rich with authentic Kurdish and Iraqi flavors, and the server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt right at home. Not only was the meal exceptional, but the staff went above and beyond, offering us several other dishes to try —  Lentil Soup and Fresh herb spiced olives. It is also important to mention the freshness of their clay oven baked bread. If it were socially acceptable, I honestly would have licked the plate clean! LOL The experience was so memorable that we returned the very next day for dinner, and it was just as outstanding the second time. Citadel of Erbil Restaurant is a true gem in London. If you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine — or even if you're just curious — this place is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

We had lamb shank and rice, lamb doner , salad and chips and Beef burger. The two sauces that accompanied the lamb shank were lovely and were really needed with the bland rice. Vermicelli with few raisins (no pine nuts), did nothing to increase flavour of the rice section.. Burger was really good. Sad to say, the burger was the best dish on our table as the lamb doner dish was a bit dry.

Two lady waitress were really good, especially the lady in the headscarf.

Couple of issue we had with the restaurant was they had bought out the lamb shank dish quite quickly but the other two dishes we waited another twenty minutes after, we had to ask after our orders. Dishes should be brought out at the same time.

The restaurant is small, so the waiters are constantly moving tables and chairs to meet number of people in a group, so twice my table and my chair was hit by staff moving tables. Moving furniture whilst customers are eating isn’t good. So don’t sit in the middle of restaurant, most likely to be affected.

Secondly, I don’t understand why men kept using the ladies loos. I had to use the toilet where I found a ,man coming out and he left it see above with pee on seat. The staff dealt with it but this seemed like a reoccurring theme as ,my male companion found a female customer coming out of the male toilet, even though it’s...
