I visited Flip & Sear yesterday lunch time, the burger outlet only recently opened so I was keen to try their burger and see if it meets the hype. F&S are located at Camden Lock, Hawley Wharf Food Court. They are located on the 2nd floor. The food court has plenty of seating and F&S seemed the popular choice with regular customer trade lining up.
This gave me an opportunity for some photos. I then placed my order and walked over to their hot plate where they cooking is done and the aroma and sizzling just made my mouth water.
I ordered the Flip and Sear Double - with skin on fries. The Burger was insane!!!! Probably one of the best burger I've tried in London and it certainly meets the hype!!!. The meat patty used is Australian Wagyu Beef (halal) and even though I ordered a double patty it just melt in my mouth and worked well in combination with the fried onions and house flip sauce. The skin on fries were tasty also and have a nice crunch to them, they also do a chicken salt fries but had run out on my visit (next time hopefully).
This burger was juicy and tender and I would recommend Flip & Sear to anyone in the Camden area looking for a burger fix, their burgers will leave you with a smile on your face it's that delicious!!! I will be going back again to try more of their food. Just observing the servers, they were passionate and energetic and every order mattered to them. They are extremely proud of their burgers and this was nice to see.
Tip: Weekday between 12 -3 they do a burger and fries combo for £12.

Read moreTook a stroll through Camden this week for some photography. Didn't trust the stalls near the stables or near the waterfront as it was packed and dirty. Instead went to this halal wagyu burger stall. Had the £12 lunch time deal which seemed a fair price. Single Pattie and fries. Sat at the bar as the other seating areas were full of families with screaming kids. Everything is cooked to order. So you'll wait 10 mins. Observing the kitchen area it was pristine. Clean and tidy. The stainless steel areas were shiny. Grill master chef Jamie was cooking today. Watched how focused he was on the orders he was cooking. Nine burgers on the grill. Smashed to the perfect radius. Bit of salt and pepper on the burger whilst the primary side was searing. Chips deep fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Abu owner' was on the pass making sure the bun and condiments were ready for the burger.
The burger was juicy and tender. Cooked to perfection and grind of meat was perfect. There was a slight caramelisation on the meat which was fantastic.
After the nine burgers were served the kitchen area was meticulous cleaned down and the grill scrapped clean for the next batch of orders. Kudos to the management and chef Jamie. Respect for the ingredients and the area they worked in. Amazing.
Definitely gonna go double next time I visit and bring a load of friends...
Read moreTried out Flip & Sear the other day with my wife and two adult children. Wow! Amazing burgers with amazing flavour. My son and I both had the double wagyu burgers with chicken salt fries. My wife and daughter both had the standard wagyu burger. They wished they'd had the double ones. The atmosphere in the Camden Indoor Food Market wasn't great (it was largely empty) but it was 6pm on a Wednesday evening in late November. We got a clean and comfortable place to sit though and we weren't there for atmosphere. We all love a burger and we were honestly struggling to think of any improvements that could be made to these burgers - amazing flavour wagyu beef, cooked to perfection (pink in the middle as requested but with delicious outside smashed burger crust), fantastic house burger sauce and the perfect seeded burger buns. Everything was super-fresh and prepared with 100% attention to detail. Really impressed by the Flip &Sear team and all served with a big smile from Munib, one of the owners. Looking forward to seeing these guys open up more...
