Stayed in the Salhouse Room at The Moorhen, for 5 nights, with my husband and our puppy. |On arrival, Neil welcomed us and showed us to our room. Our room was clean and comfortable with an extra large king sized bed, good quality bedding and towels, and a selection of coffees and teas plus some long life milk sachets and biscuits. These were replenished daily together with towels, toilet paper and bins emptied. Fresh milk was available to be taken from the fridge in the breakfast room, in thermos jugs placed on top of fridge.|The Salhouse Room has French doors opening onto the garden which has tables and chairs for guests to use. One morning, we overslept and missed breakfast, and Josie kindly served coffee, tea and toast in the garden.|Breakfast is sourced from local suppliers and the choice is extensive and freshly cooked to order by Neil.|We parked outside The Moorhen on a single yellow line to unload and load the car, and moved it a short distance away for free long term parking. Neil showed me where to park, and carried our bags to and from our car on arrival and departure.|Neil provides much useful information about the local area, places to visit for day trips and public transport.|Everything about The Moorhen B&B is high quality and good value but Neil & Josie are the best of all. They greeted us like we were old friends and looked after us like we’ve never experienced before.|We will definitely be returning and...

Very happy with facilities and slept really well in warm, comfortable bedding with plenty of bedding spare. The rooms are large with cupboards to hang clothes, drawers for them too and a hairdryer provided too. Towels, handwash and shower gel were provided and were lovely too. There is also free Wifi but phone reception might be an issue.
