Premier Inn: Much to fix.||||Angry, furious, disgusted and embarrassed. That’s how I feel after trying to eat at the Brewers Fayre restaurant attached to the Premier Inn at Gloucester Business Park.||||I ordered the Big Stack burger, choosing the salad option instead of the bun.||||What turned up (see pic) was burnt, hard, dried out two slivers of burger, covered in a yellowy gunk that may have been cheese. One bite and a mouthful of acrid, nasty shot – spat out – later and I was out of this excuse for a restaurant.||||The ‘salad’ was an assortment of chopped veg. I suspect whatever the ‘chef’, who may or may not have been a 16 year old work experience person with zero previous catering knowledge, had found in the kitchen. The dressing was a slime with zero taste.||||What the hell does this company think they are doing? The hospitality sector constantly complains about problems but the real problem is itself. No training, no enthusiasm, no passion for food and good service. Just profit.||||So what did I do? I simply put my knife and fork together and walked out. I was too tired after a long day to argue. ||||There was no other eatery within walking distance so I went to the Tesco across the road and bought some nice Somerset Brie and a whole grain roll. And a good chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. All for less than the cost of the Premier Inn crap.||||What about the hotel itself?||||Well, the room was a decent size, modern, comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Great… or is it just what you should expect?||||The shower – part of the bath – was pretty useless with poor water pressure but at least I managed it. ||||The TV however was useless. The remote had hardly any effect on the TV and after 20 mins of trying to find something – anything! – I gave up.||||Instead I paid £5 for the “Ultimate Wi-Fi’ which turned out to be anything but that. It was a max of 8 mbps! That was their own statement after signing up. Again, useless. I can’t even get my emails!||||Then, when I shifted from my mobile phone to laptop, in an attempt to find somewhere I could watch today’s cricket, the system failed completely. They sell the wifi on the basis that 3 devices can connect. That’s completely untrue. Only the device that originally bought the wifi pass can connect, at least at this hotel.||||Premier Inn: you are taking the piss! Sort out your tech, your bathrooms and most of all, your...

TV didn't work properly. Receptionist gave us a new remote to try but this didn't solve the problem.
We've stayed in Premier Inn hotels numerous times, including this branch, and for the first time the king sized bed mattress was uncomfortable.
The bed made up for our youngest child was rock hard and horrible to sleep on. This is the same in the dozen or so Premier Inn hotels we've stayed in around the UK. Management, please can you take note of this and add a mattress topper or similar to resolve this problem. We usually bring blankets for long car journeys and use these as a temporary measure.
Your company adverts give an assurance of a restful night's sleep... for the adults. But any parent will tell you if the kids don't sleep then neither do you!
We love the all you can eat breakfasts. There's an ample range of food to suit all tastes.
We normally give Premier Inn a 4 or 5 star review but on this occasion it's a low rating of 2. Even for a budget hotel you need to meet minimum standards which on this occasion...

First of all the staff are amazing, so helpful and if they could help at all they would! Extra pillows, towels - nothing’s a bother!
The main problem was the air con. Although it wasn’t particularly hot outside the room was unbearable. We had the air con on low for hours and it improved but still not great, and after a while it turns off. We didn’t want to make extra work at the moment for them as moving rooms would have meant an extra room to DEEP CLEAN.
The air con unit also make a horrendous gurgling noise that kept us awake. I assume that’s only that particular room - 114 (there was nobody on the desk to tell this morning). Hopefully someone from the hotel picks this up!!
Apart from that - the bed wasn’t the most comfortable... but that’s personal preference.
Food is provided by the pub next door - and was great “pub grub”. Kids eat free for breakfast too - and there was plenty to fill us up.
Would recommend this as a cheap place to stay - defo would use again but perhaps not...
