Let me begin by saying I have never written a review for anything in my life. Good or bad, I am just not a review kind of person. I am going to make an exception this time. I recently stayed at the Watersound Inn for the first time. After spending what seems like hours online searching for the perfect place for our family vacation, this seemed like the winner. Upon check in the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The pool area at the Beach Club was nice and well maintained with friendly staff. Things seemed to be going well. The vacation took a turn about 24 hours into our stay. We had been at the pool all morning and parked and took our things upstairs to rest for a while. After a few hours I took my son downstairs to get the bikes to take a ride. I noticed our SUV had a boot on the wheel and a citation on the windshield. I took the citation back upstairs to my husband to find out if maybe we were supposed to have identification in the window proving we were guests and maybe they forgot to give it to us. Just to be clear, this is a public parking lot in any case. With other businesses in the building. The desk said no, we didn’t need a parking tag. He approached the guard shack to try to clear the matter up and was told a “board member” had witnessed us park and head for the beach. This never happened. Why he lied about this I will never know. The “board member “ then proceeded to contact the security manager and get the violation underway. I will never understand what made anyone think a boot on a car in a public parking lot that is in fact a guest of the property seem warranted I may never know. We did get the boot removed immediately. After one full day and a lot of upset phone calls we checked out. Watersound Inn refunded our stay and were very apologetic. They did nothing wrong. However, the security manager and the “board member “ should be completely ashamed and removed from their posts. I just felt this needed to be out there, not to punish Watersound Inn, but to make people aware of the type of people you may come into contact with staying here. In closing, we come home early on Father’s Day and our 23rd anniversary with two disappointed kids from a ruined vacation all because of foolish decisions made by 2 people that were acting rash with no information at all. This is supposed to be an upscale community......not with low class behavior like this. I am...
Read moreOur stay at the Watersound Inn was nothing short of wonderful. The check-in process was seamless, and every request was met with a smile and prompt attention throughout our stay.
The rooms themselves were a sanctuary of comfort and elegance. Impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, each space exuded a sense of tranquility. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep.
What truly set this inn apart, however, was the staff's commitment to going above and beyond. Whether it was recommending the perfect spot for dinner, or simply taking the time to engage in genuine conversation, their attentiveness was unparalleled. It's clear that they take great pride in their work, and their passion for hospitality shines through in every interaction.
Additionally, the amenities provided added an extra layer of indulgence to our stay. From the refreshing pool to the well-equipped fitness center, every detail was thoughtfully curated to enhance our experience.
In conclusion, our time at the Watersound Inn was nothing short of extraordinary. From the luxurious accommodations to the exemplary service. We cannot recommend this hidden gem highly enough and eagerly anticipate...
Read moreLoved the location and the suite was perfect for 3-4 people. Elevator didn’t work the entire time we were there and no additional staff to help carry bags, or any kind of concession to the rate for the inconvenience of having to carry all of our bags/food/toys, up and down the stairs on arrival and departure. Daughter fell in the stairwell and chipped her tooth. Yes, accidents happen, but tired kids in flip flops having to go up and down concrete stairs, add to the odds of these types of accidents happening. Again, no warning or concessions, made that even harder to swallow. The condo itself was very nice. The staff at the inn, not so much. Remarkably unpleasant. Beach club is close by and the staff there are incredibly nice, which helped soften the experience. We usually stay in Watercolor, but I enjoyed the less hectic vibe at Watersound. If the inn can get a bit of customer service training, I think it could live up to, and probably exceed the...
