I’m giving this place one star because last Saturday my family spent a beautiful weekend in Seacrest. The adults went to dinner and our daughter babysat her baby brother and 2 other children. She orders a pizza for delivery around 6:30 that evening. A lengthy amount of time went by and no pizza was delivered. She called to check on it and they informed her the pizza was for carry out and waiting for her. She was not left with a car as we had it and she had 3 small children she was watching. They would Not accept any payment over the phone for the $5 delivery fee...cash only and we didn’t leave her cash, only our card. I called to see exactly what the situation was. She insisted she selected ‘delivery’ when she order on line, and this minor situation regarding a $5 delivery fee would have been included in the charge on my card. (Now I’m dealing with this mess the entire time I’m trying to have dinner) I called Bruno’s and asked to speak with the manager and briefly told him the situation making sure he understood we were at dinner and she was in no way able to go get the pizza. I still can’t wrap my mind around not being able to charge $5 to a card...it seems like such an easy fix but whatever. He seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone with Me and acted as if he understood the situation and kindly said he’d waive the fee. We were gracious and hung up and finally continued our dinner date. About an hour later our daughter calls...no pizza. She took the initiative and called them back. Their pizza was still sitting there! They waived someone else’s pizza fee and kindly delivered theirs instead. They FINALLY got the pizza to our kids at 8:30, I’m sure just to get us off their backs. I have never felt like such a last priority and never once did they take responsibility for this fiasco. Now I’m not being petty but I am thinking maybe instead of bringing them a cold hard pizza, it Might have been a kind gesture to just make these poor kids a new pizza as this pizza was sitting there for over 2 hours. It was a pizza and a little $5 fee... what would it have hurt to acted like you cared or even if your didn’t care, wouldn’t it have been a wise business decision to make them...
Read moreTL;DR: Hole in wall pizza joint with amazing pizza and friendly staff. Just do yourself a favor and go! We were lucky enough to find Bruno's by accident since it is a bit hard to find (THANK YOU for putting the signage on the road) going down 30A near the Hub. Their footprint is more like a 'Tiny house' then a Pizzeria with lots of outside dining room space (kind of romantic). Walked in on July 5th around 9pm probably one of the busiest days of the year with a line at the bar, people taking orders over the phone and a general mayhem going on. Here is the weird thing though - everyone was still smiling. The hostess seated us relatively quickly and took our appetizers order. Instead of just running away she was like the calm in the storm and took her time for us explaining the menu. Now, word of warning - be sure everyone in your party eats their garlic knots. Those garlic knots are fantastic but should be advertised as shark or date repellent! When they write garlic they mean GARLIC! You've been warned (or blessed). You WILL smell like garlic then next morning so make sure you brush your pearly whites before going to bed. The As main course we had a Santa Rosa Pizza, Calzone and a Steak Grinder. The Santa Rosa pizza was thick and delicious with a ton of meat piled up on it. Calzone had great taste and the Steak grinder surprised me on how good it was. Yes, it was true to the way it was advertised and had a ton of steak in there! Not only was the food good and correct, we were surprised how quickly it came to our tables. As busy as they were their kitchen worked like a finely tuned machine. The manager on duty I believe his name was Mark had everyone smiling, laughing but working hard. One last thing - they have really cool hats and T-Shirts and we managed to get our hands on the last 'dog beer' t-shirt. Why is it so special? I guess you just have to go to Bruno's...
Read moreMy husband and myself along with our 3 kids have been coming to 30a for almost 6 years, and I am a little ashamed that I had not come to visit sooner!! Especially how highly raved our friends had spoken about the place! The food, absolutely delicious! I may have found my new weakness in the dessert knots you guys serve! Everyone who comes down needs to put this place on their to-do list as a must!!
Now, you may wonder why the two stars? I really do not like to complain when everything is so nice and enjoyable BUT, I feel like it may have been a little more pleasant if our server wasn't so dismissive and rude; and it was to my two boys who were just trying to get help. The young lady with the hat and glasses not only remained on her cellphone face booking or playing angry ninjas, or whatever new apps they're into now; but yelled at one of the other girls who looked overwhelmed as is with how busy it was! I remained calm and just smiled, but my husband and I were sitting near the entrance , and she continued on her phone and I just watched as she passed off customers in line to the other girls who was already helping the other patrons. The manager looked irritated and it's not my place to say, but maybe she shouldn't be on her phone especially sitting at the corner table and , maybe he was new or non confrontational?
Aside from that unfortunate rude moment, my family and I will definitely be coming back next year! The food was terrific, the atmosphere was a lot of fun especially with the music, and it was really nice to see the happy workers look like they enjoyed what they do! Especially with so many people around! When you're doing something right, it's right! And as long as you guys keep serving great food and those cinnamon knots that my husband makes fun of me for now ha, Brunos will be part of our tradition now! God bless! ...
