MH Salon 30A — Local services in Alys Beach

I’ve been getting my hair highlighted since 2005 and this was by far the worst experience and outcome I’ve ever had! I left the salon and was so upset I cried over it. Not only was the color atrocious, but the cut was so terrible and uneven! I have since had a capable salon fix my hair which has been wonderful but she agreed the cut was very bad, the color needed correction with the placement of the foils leaving lines, but that I also had severe damage to the very front on one side. I have a chuck of hair where that damage has cause all of my hair to break off leaving short strands sticking out.

Maria offered to attempt to fix it but honestly, I wouldn’t let whatever product she uses touch my head again! She claimed the stylist who did my hair was new and doesn’t know their color system yet. My question would be why was she allowed to work solo on my hair then? Maria also got very odd with me when I brought this up saying very odd things like she has eyes in the back of her head (like calling me a liar?) and that children are very resilient (I’m not a child).

I have added photos to show how awful it was, yes I left the salon exactly like that after a $400 service. I’ll also add my inspiration picture as well as what my hair was prior to this service. I’m certain the response MH Salon will give to this review will most definitely be gaslighting me but trust me, this is a fair and honest review.

I was not offered any type of partial refund whatsoever so I’m out $400 for these services as well as another $500 to have a different salon fix it. I will say, if you are looking for a wonder salon, go see Eva at Rolland's! She did an amazing job and I would travel to see her again that’s how...

Had an amazing hair appointment with Alan! Felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. Everyone was very friendly beginning with the owner welcoming me. Was there for a few hours and conversated with the other stylist, Ashley and manager Janelle. Alan is AH-MAZING!! He knows his sh*t when it comes to blonde color. He listened to my concerns, gave his opinion and went to work. The end result was what I've been asking for the last 5 years -BLONDE!! No yellow, no brassy, no red undertones.

My husband loves the color and I could not be more excited that I've finally found a hair stylist who listens (and made me laugh) Will be a client for a very long time!

** Addendum: Had my 3rd visit with Alan. I can honestly say Alan is my fav hairstylist EVER!! I leave the salon everytime amazed at how great my blonde hair looks and feels. I love that he takes his time and does not rush ( huge brownie...

I saw Kayla for a haircut and she did a great job. The cut was clean and well done, and Kayla really listened and updated her plans for the cut based on my needs. At the end of the cut Kayla asked me to run my hands through my hair and point out any areas to fix. Even though the cut was solid, I really appreciated the chance to check in before I walked out the door. She asked no invasive personal questions about my job or boyfriend, which has been a problem with some past stylists. She was friendly and professional but let me work on the laptop...
