This place is like sleeping outside because there is a 1 inch gap in your door frame allowing interstate noise and air to flow in freely. Queen bed was 2 tattered full bed frames with queen mattress atop. Wyndham app and website promise breakfast, pool and bedside chair. All 3 do not exist. Our smoke detector was on the floor underneath the bed too, right next to the blue paint pile despite nothing in the room being painted blue. And one beside lamp didn't even have a lampshade, and the microwave didn't even have a plate. Had to stop by the front desk each day I was there to have my key card reset and based on what the staff said this seemed intentional (for an unknown reason) that it stopped working. Staff walks to each door every day to hound guests with reminders to display a parking pass and threaten towing. Hotel is not within walking distance of many things so I am not sure why they would be so worried about people using their lot considering it was 2/3 empty even with the NY Yankees playing at the ballpark 2 miles away.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is terrible the room itself is not as advertised, we checked in around 3:30 and checked out by 4:30. The room was the worst room I’ve ever seen, the customer service was awful, also they required a $20.00 cash deposit for room keys. Which I’ve never done, and they wouldn’t accept any other payment and did give a receipt for this deposit. Plus after inspection of the terrible room, we were confronted by another guest who said she was robbed the night before at this place. Once checking out just an hour after check in, it booked through a 3rd party site, and I said I realized I cannot get a refund and just wanted the $20.00 back, the guy working reception smirked and laughed. This was the worst experience I ever had anywhere. Please don’t stay here, stay somewhere else in Arlington or one of the nearby cities, just DON’T STAY HERE!

We checked into the rooms and were immediately told "no pool, and no breakfast" 2 things that are listed as amenities...not a great start. We walked into the room and the tv doesnt work. We look up and theres no smoke detector...just a bunch of wires coming out of the ceiling...then we sit down on one of the beds and it collapses...we lift it up and its a cheap wooden block wedged under the metal frame and the wedge fell out. On the plus side...the room looks nice...art ok the walls and little work desk and weirdly enough the bed was fairly comfortable. Bathroom was clean and vanity area was nice and functional...this place is decent for the price but dont expect high quality at all.

I checked in late at night, just before 1 AM, after driving several hours. I was super tired. The gentleman helping me said he had one room left, after I asked for the cheapest room. With my AAA Discount, the rate was around $65, after tax. When I got inside the room, it smelled like men's cologne was dumped in the room somewhere to hide cigarette smell (it was a non-smoking room). The cigarette smell wasn't overpowering but I was aware of it. The cologne smell wasn't a bad scent, they just used far too much of it. It may have been a room spray, but it did smell like men's cologne. I went to the bathroom and noticed the floor was soaking wet, much wetter than if someone had just mopped. Unsure why. Next, I noticed a horrible infestation of small common house fly's and fruit fly's. Everywhere. The carpet was badly stained, with a few crusty areas that could easily be cleaned if scrubbed out. Needless to say, I didn't take off my shoes during my stay.

The TV didn't work, even when using the buttons on the TV itself. Yes, it was plugged in. The bed was comical. It wasn't a real bed frame. It was 2 frames for a full sized cot pushed together for a queen size mattress. It was clearly visible as there was no dust ruffle. I found it odd they didn't try to cover it. On the bed there was only two pillows. They were small and fat so it was hard for my head to stay on even one pillow through the night. I was only there until 7 am and was far too tired from driving so I overlooked everything. Additionally, there is construction going on in the area right now so I assume access wasn't as simple as it normally would be. For that reason, and my exhaustion, I chose against complaining and going elsewhere.

Onto the exterior of the hotel: There were several thuggish-looking people hanging out outside smoking, and leaving their cigarette butt's on the ground. They talked loudly through the night, swearing and frequently used racial slurs, which really irritated me. If they didn't look and sound so threatening, I would have either said something to them or called the front desk, but I actually feared I, or my car, would suffer consequences. I'm a 38 year-old female traveling alonealone, and they were all young men. Odds were not in my favor. I had my air conditioning on high and could still hear them. In the morning I counted over 20 cigarette butt's on the ground. Lovely!

There is a pool with 3 or 4 chaise lounges on the pool deck. The pool looked fairly decent and fairly clean, especially considering it rained the previous night. There is a mechanical lift for handicap access into and out of the pool, which I thought was neat.

Do I even need to add that I do not recommend this hotel? I...

When I want to save money or take a trip on a budget, I typically choose a Super 8 to stay in. In my recent stats Super 8 has always been a pleasant to stay. Most of them are remodeled and very welcoming until our stay at the super 8 off E Abraham street. This building is very old. It needs pressure washing really bad. All the outside trash cans are old. Everything about this building is old. There were spider webs around the entire building. There is a truck driving school near the hotel which most of the rooms are used for those attending the school. The breakfast area was very small and the food was limited. The food selection was horrible. They had wieners as their meat selection. My kids thought I was pranking them. Entering our room, we immediately smelled cigarette smoke. I lysoled the rooms down very good. The mattress was hard. The shower made a squeaking noise while taking a shower. The lighting in the room was dark. Every night we had to get additional towels. The customer service by Chuck was excellent. The GM had an attitude because I asked the front office to bring us some towels. He came to my room personally to instruct me that their often busy if I need anything further I will need to come to the front office myself. Every hotel I've ever stayed at the front office has always been courteous and brought any items to the room that we may need. In fact he came to my room twice.. I found that to be peculiar. Typically GM's call your room to address any issues or concerns but since he came to the room I felt as if he took what I said personally that it was poor customer service that the front desk don't bring the items to the customers room. He and another front desk employee said numerous times they are to not leave the front desk because they may have a large group to check in. Which this is only a 50 room hotel. Due to this experience, I will never stay in a super 8 motel again. I will stick to the choice hotels...

DON'T GO HERE. THEY STOLE $600.00 FROM ME I have never seen a staff member as rude or on such a power trip as the manager here. They advertised smoking rooms with several different room options. I ordered and paid for a week upfront and when we got there, the king bed I paid for was unavailable, and they have zero smoking rooms. Left without another option I stayed one night. When my wife went outside the room to smoke a cigarette, she had not even lit up when the manager told her she couldn't smoke on the outdoor walkway or anywhere on the property. She was very rude enough so that I had to go speak with her. She tried to tell me because there was a sign saying no smoking in the rooms that meant we were not allowed to smoke anywhere on the property. Being as I paid for a smoking room and she was expecting us to follow rules she was making up that there was nothing posted or informing us of rules she made up along with her rude attitude towards my wife, I went ahead and decided to leave the place after one night there. About five hours later I got a charge on my card for 250 because they claim we smoked in the room. We never smoked in the room but this vindictive rude and ignorant power hungry manager decided she would teach us a lesson and wrongfully charged me for it.

Update, after the managers wrongfully charged me, my wife spoke with another associate on the phone, and although she was polite, she refused to give us the name or contact info of anyone above the managers level. She said she would pass along my contact info but as of yet I have heard nothing from them and they still have not released my refund back to me either so they have stolen over $600 from me...
