Taqueria Mi Mexico — Restaurant in Arlington

I do much traveling and stay away from texas mexican food. Tex-mex is NOT mexican food, tex mex is nothing but supped up form of Taco Bell. Being Mexican myself, I know what real mexican food is and I found that at Taqueria Mi Mexico, the food is GREAT! Very savory and authentic, even the look and atmosphere of the place makes you'll feel as if you were in Mexico! It's not fancy as many surrounding TEX-MEX (urgh) restaurants so don't come in with suit and tie or plan on making reservations, it's just a plain ol' simple TRUE mexican restaurant. They take AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD. I tried the carne asada plate, WOW, grilled onions and steak was very juicy with fresh salad and avocado, I was asked corn or flour tortillas. My plate also came with frijoles borrachos, it tasted great! I also tried tres leches pastry which I didnt eat, I was too full already. This has been one of the top 5 for our favorite Mexican food here in Texas .its not Tex Mex. This is Authentic real deal Mexican food . we love to come here to,eat and you can purchase the food by the pound as well.. "The meats". The people are great! The cook has the magic touch .,someone tell the 2 people in the back that there food is worth the drive from anywhere to eat there. The girl up front is very helpful in selling everythibg on the menu. The way she describes the food makes you want to try it all. I’ve never given a review but this one deserves it. Never again. Food sucked. Store bought tortillas. Cook didn’t know how to cook over easy eggs. And to top it off. It was expensive and not worth the food. Waitress couldn’t even say thank you when I paid. And breakfast was served with French fries not potatoes. Like what? Just don’t go. Do better.
